Actually...today I thought my car was going to fall apart. Those county roads could be maintained better. The further south you go, the better the roads get.
Around Glen Rose there are miles and miles of roads that literally paint a smile on your face you can't wipe off. 100+ miles of private race track is the closest thing I can compare it to. No traffic, smooth curvy roads, etc.

He was out scouting for a video yesterday and I tagged along.
Now that the weather has been nicer I will take you up on that. We'll probably go in again in the next couple of weeks.

Will be fun trying to track down the F-Car or the Viper.
If Andy jumps the curve at rattlesnake again, I will actually have a chance to see it

I know, I always thought white was one of the best colors on them.
The new taillights do not fit. A couple of members have toyed around with it, but havent had any luck. I've thought about getting red laminx and just making them solid red.

There are some in the UK that mimic the old NA versions with the red/orange/hourglass look and then some with the LEDs, very similar to a Lotus, but I think start at about $1200, before paint and shipping.
Thats a lost of bracing or a third of a Supercharger.
No one will ever see your taillights anyways.
I kid, I kid. Obviously they're very quick with a few mods. Have you considered doing a custom set of taillights? Blacking out, maybe an LED retrofit?

Other than that, no, not really. Its to expensive when I could put the money elsewhere. I've thought about smoking them, or blackhousing them...but its not at the top of my list.
You know, I have always toyed with the idea of picking up a used NC as a weekend toy, even more so thanks to yours. But, surprisingly to me, these models look like they hold their value really well, esp. the hard tops. I've just done a little bit of searching & a good NC looks like it would still run me $15,000 at the least which is somewhat far out of what I was hoping & that's on '05/'06 models.
Maybe I'll settle for a NB generation, though I have absolutely no idea what a decent example goes for (bar the Mazdaspeed model which is as much as some NCs).

There is no better toy!
Cheapest/Biggest aftermarket out there. This is going to sound stupid, but my "dream car" right now is an NA. I want to pick one up for a toy. Theres a black '93 w/hardtop for sale in my neighborhood for $1600. Its only got 115,000 miles and is owned by an older guy.
Soooo....
$1600 for the car.
$1000 for updates/maintenance.
$6500 for coilovers, turbo/intercooler, I/H/E/tune, wheels/tires, brakes, roll bars, etc....
Take to MSR, fastest car there.

I don't know what it is, but I just don't like the look of stock NA's. Those 2 above are perfect & there's nothing stopping me from making a NA look like those, but if I was to buy one, I'd either have to have money set aside to start modding right away, or buy one with some work already done.
Again, don't know what it is, but I just can't bring myself to consider one that is/looks stock. They just don't appeal to me over the newer models.

Stock they are all pretty lame, IMO, but I completely understand your point.
I think the Mazdaspeed NB has the best styling out of the three right out of the box.
