I bought a spray can a while ago, but I haven't tried it yet. It looks awesome on those screw heads! I'm going to try it on my fading, ugly door pillars (2G TL)

You may want to spray it with that stuff, and then spray it with clear. It dries pretty flat.

I would actually suggest wrapping it with vinyl. It will be the same sheen as the pillars were originally.

If you want glossy I'd go a different route. Its basically rubber in a can. You put on a few thin coats and you can peel it off with ease. I plastidipped my iPhone last night and it looks sweet! I just masked off the area and sprayed it on the car. It simply peels off the paint so theres no need to really mask your paint.

Spray your emblems, let it dry..peel it off where you dont want it. Its sooooo easy to work with...and 100% reversible.

Ill try and get some pics this afternoon. Masking it off was the tedious part. You have to remember multiple thin layers so you can peel it off easily if you don't like it. Thats what it looks like though.

Thanks for the suggestion. If the Plastidip doesn't give the finish I want, I'll wrap them in vinyl...I kind of just want to play with the Plastidip

I will warn you now...thats the same mentality I had. Now, when I get home, I actively pursue things to plasticize. Main thing is, you have to trust it. When I started spraying things on my car I was a little cautious....but by the time I got to the front emblem, I didnt even mask it. I just sprayed away...let it dry, then pealed off what I didnt want.

I don't know about the longevity of it, but damn its fun to play with.

Nope. I masked under the rear lip spiloer so it wouldn't get under neath it, but the overspray just rubs off with a microfiber.

I'd mask a square around the emblem, probably an inch or two out on all sides. Spray a light coat, let it sit for 10 minutes, spray another light coat and let it sit for 10 minutes, then de-mask and enjoy your emblems.

look in the 3G TL section, a bunch of us have done our grills with it. Looks pretty good and it doesn't chip like paint does (spray paint). And if you don't like it, peel it off and you are back to stock.

If it is so easy to peel off, how does it stand up to car washing?

Header and Midpipe are put on hold.

I found a set of 17x8 Enkei RSM's for sale so cheap I couldn't pass them up. These RSMs to be exact.

Almost simultaneously, a friend emailed me asking if I wanted to take his silver RPF1s off of him in 2 months due to his car going on a trailer.

So...I no longer need wheels. I'll have the 17x8 RSM's which will be dailys, and the RPF1's which will serve for track purposes with monster tires.

How's the car pulling now with the header & midpipe? I recall you saying it gave you a nice increase in power.

They arent quite on the car yet. They werent doing with the other car until about 3, and by that point I didnt want to mess with it. By the next time I see you, they'll be on and we'll go for a drive.

Very well done, very tasteful. Usually people go crazy with the stuff.

I think we should set up a photoshoot sometime this summer.

I was going to do the speaker surrounds and the shifter surround, but opted not for that reason.

Im always up for a photoshoot.

I think my next/final mod for the interior is going to be Alcantara. I want to do the steering wheel, gauge hood, door pulls and both shifter & hand brake boots. I want black but I dont know what color stitching...maybe orange like the seats?

Orange stitching would look great!

If its hard to match the seat orange, maybe white to match the current stitching?

I think the shifter looks great as is. Matches the outer rim of gear stick.

Right at 16lbs.

17X8, +48.

I'll be able to go from a 215/45 to a 235/40, plus the offset will push them to be flush with the fenders.
