Ken, out of the 100 or so drives I've done with various groups...the S2K guys do it best by a long shot.
Miata guys...too slow, too old, pee often.
Exotic guys...too fast, like to compare dong sizes, wear racing shoes.
S2K guys...good mixed pace, not out to prove anything, I can keep up.

No more brown top...and now on muffler #5.

Lots of changes in the next months.
Rollbar, upgraded barkes, upgraded interior with more custom bits, Racerom, trying to source black seats out of a '14 Club (black/red stitching).
I still have my 6lb race muffler. It's insanely loud, over 115db and shoots flames. I have to have something to switch to for my sanity. My "goto" quiet muffler was from a company called Goodwin Racing out of CA. Awesome muffler, just didn't have the looks or sound I was really going for. The new one is from Flyin' Miata and it sounds incredible. It's still pretty loud with the pretty much straight through system I've got, but the tone is much nicer...and the tips look amazing.

LOL...no, I mean spare the viewer me walking to the car and back and setting up the camera. Check out the video Austin and I posted in 3G Ramblings part 2. You'll see what I mean.
I got lucky, it stayed in focus the whole time...used my Tokina 11-16MM lens too...looks like you used similar?

Yea, thats about all you need to get into trouble.
I'm not bothered by the power in the slightest bit. They have zero issues keeping up with anything aside from on a dragstrip. With the way they are geared, you've always got the power...I love how you don't even really need to downshift to pass going 70mph on the freeway.
I'm still in love with mine after all of these years. Couldn't imagine driving anything else. It's simplicity just works.

hahaha
Just minor stuff here and there.
No more Alcantara inside. Too much of a hassle to keep clean so I switched to black nappa leather with a red stitch to match my new seats. Seats are out of a 2014 club. I've also removed a lot of the carbon fiber vinyl from the interior and done silver in place of it. With everything being black inside it needed a pop of color, plus it really simplifies it which is IMO why it looks so good in the first place. I've also replaced my door panels with the redesigned panels from a 14 club as well. Direct swap, muuuuch better design.
Coilovers are getting a MAJOR overhaul. I've gone to double adjustable Konis with higher rates, performance bump stops and a shortened shaft. Went up to Hotchkis adjustable sways and Beatrush bracing underneath. It was ok before, had lowish rates to keep it comfy. The more I drove it the more I wanted a car that was clearly meant to handle while keeping my current ride height. I've got the back components on and it is already unreal different.
Brakes have been redone with stoptech slotted rotors, stainless lines and HP+ pads..as well as repainted the calipers black instead of read.
The top is new and very black.
I've redone my HID setup with a proper retrofit using RX8 bits and morimoto ballasts, all 35w 5000k. Decided to stick those in my fogs as well so every in traffic most certainly hates me as daylight is in front my car at night.
I'm debating on getting it wrapped again, but the white is so clean it hurts.
Still don't really want FI...car is getting old and I like how I have zero issues with anything powertrain related. I'm honestly just driving it and loving it. Yesterday I threw the little 7lb race muffler back on and have been terrorizing Texas for a day now. Really nice to hear people scream in terror when I shift and fire and a 'gunshot' comes barking out of my car. Makes me feel like I'm home again. Probably more fitting with the Gulf wrap, but of well.

Now THAT is an effing update!
Loved the Gulf wrap!
Sounds like you and me have the same approach to loving our aging vehicles and keeping things simple. Keep up the great work, man.

Found a pic of some of the brake stuff. Went with the vintage Mazda 'M' for the caliper sticker. The black calipers really look nice esp with the slotted rotors. I was always kinda self conscious of the red painted calipers. Anyway, nice and simple now plus they stay clean or at least appear to.

Your pictures always make my jaw drop btw...
You're an inspiration.
I agree...red/blue calipers says 1997 Accord, to me. Probably because that's what I did it to.
I did black on the S for the same reason...if it ain't BBK, no need to detract from the look of the wheels.

The delay in getting through my list makes me happy though because I have gotten so much better. There are some reaaaaal high end shoots scheduled that I don't want to botch. I've got several p-car shoots coming up including a brand new Gt3, Carrera GT, 997 GT3 RS and a former LeMans racer's private collection. I'm also hoping to team up with Dallas Performance, which means lots of twin turbo Lambo stuff.
I don't really know where I'm going with it, but it's certainly a fun ride. I need to get a big boy camera and lenses soon...my little T3i is pretty maxed out.
Agree.

I meant to ask, the shot you uploaded last night - what was your setup? I assume that pic has been post-processed? Can you upload the original? I've been trying to get better but can't seem to find the time to learn.
