Motor Trend's Best Driver's Car Comparo
This was just posted in full earlier this AM. Enjoy! They've got videos of the laps for each of the contenders.

CTS-V was fourth and the driver's comment was...."God Bless American noises." Oh yeah. He liked driving it better than the ZR-1.
Their winner was not a bad choice, either, the Cayman S. I'd love to have one of those in my garage.

Great read! A lady at the end of my building is on her second Cayman. Neither one was an S, but it tells me something. The only surprise to me was where the Z finished. I can't argue with the top five at all...I'd be very happy with any of them.

Awesome article! I was definitely surprised by the Miata finishing so high and the ZR1 finishing so low, but the way they judged it makes sense, and I like the fact that it wasn't all based on just speed. Very cool read. Thanks for the link, Bob!

I agree with the Miata sentiment. It goes to show you that HP alone does not make a driver's car. Even better that the Miata just keeps going and going and going.....it's been 19 years and it's still going strong.
One of my colleagues has a 1991 Miata that he bought new and drives on nice weekends. It looks mint, so he obviously cares for it very well.

Not surprised by the Cayman, Miata, R8 and Mustang comments. I've read so much about how reviewers suspect Cayman is/was decontented with regards to the lack of a LSD option prior to PDK, and lack of a turbocharged F6 option because if it had those things, it simply would be better than the 911 but for less money. Sad that the LSD isn't available with the manual though.
I'm surprised by the 135i, ZR1, CTS-V, and especially the 370Z. The comments about the ZR1 made me laugh though "....it'll leave you spooked and soiled searching for 10/10ths"
