I hit the 100K mark on the I35 on the way back from VA yesterday. Car is a 2004 and was purchased on September 30th, 2006 with about 54K miles on it.
I have to say that it's not the sportiest car in the world, nor is it the most fun car to drive, but it is probably one of the most comfortable car I have owned and a hell of a lot more reliable than the CLs it replaced. +100000 for Infiniti quality.
In the time I have the CL I had the following issues:
Transmission replaced at about 48K and started experiencing slipping again before I sold it at 89K.
Front struts replaced when the transmission was replaced.
Engine and transmission mounts replaced when the transmission was replaced.
2 sets of SRS sensors replaced.
2 sets of heated seat elements replaced.
Catalytic convertor replaced.
Memory seat module replaced.
Rear view mirror replaced.
So far with the I35, I have done the following:
Replaced 2 tires when the wife hit a pot hole and tore one to pieces. The other 2 are the ones I got with the car and still have 60% of the thread left.
Replaced all the rotors and pads last weekend.
Have a slightly bent wheel from the pot hole incident.
Fix a broken tail pipe.
So far, all I have had to do is maintain the car. When it was inspected and again when I got the brakes done, I had the suspension checked. Absolutely no issues. The engine is as strong as the day I got the car. The interior needs a bit of cleaning, but it is still in great shape. And everything works inside. From the stereo to all the heated seats.

I will also add that I still get about 24 mpg on mixed driving to and from work and close to 28 if I'm doing all highway.
The engine revs a lot higher than the CL when cruising. I think it definitely hurts my gas mileage a bit, but I'm OK with it.
The CL was a bit faster to me from stop, but I think that the VQ engine is superior.
The traction control on the Infiniti is also a lot better than the CL. I actually only experienced it working a handful of times.

I have purchased floor mats, so NO ONE comment on it.

For the most part, the interior is in the same condition with some juice stains, etc, and a huge car seat in the middlle of the rear seats. I just need to clean it. Baby wipes FTW. It's the best thing I have found for cleaning leather seats.
The carpets could do with a cleaning too.

I got mine for about $1000 more than an 03 Maxima that had cloth seats and no sun roof. The I35 had leather seats, sun roof, better stereo, heated seats front and rear and power front seats. And I liked the look of it more than the Maxima.

My wife has 101k on her 01 I30t and that's about the only complaint I have about the car. It will be going soon though for a newer Infiniti.

We traded cars for a couple months and I drove the Pathfinder. Now she's working 3 miles away from home. So we have to fill the truck up maybe once a month. I fill up the I35 3 to 4 times a month depending. And drive at least 50 miles a day for work.
