I'd say the 'Vette has more sex appeal... Most chicks couldn't tell a 330Ci from a M3.

Then again... BMW does stand for "Bought My Wife"...

Depends what you want.....The Z06 will romp on the M3 in EVERY performance catagory. The interior of the C5 is dated, but I dont mind it. If you are looking for a luxury interior, go with the M3.

 

I guess when it comes down to it, 405 horsepower, sub 13 sec 1/4 mile....and a top speed of 170+....I think in the end I will be driving the Z06

Yep, it depends on what you're going to use this car for.

If you need a backseat and a trunk, then BMW.

If you're looking for a sunday driver, Z06.

With the C6 just around the corner, I'm sure that the dealers will be discounting the existing C5 stock about the time you're looking.

Buy a used one of each. Heck, 2001 Z06's are in the low-mid 30's and 2001 M3's are in the high 30's now too. Let someone else take the first few years deprecaition hit and get both

 

The m3 is by no means a luxury car. The ride is hard. But its an awesome car.If you are comparing the 2 the z06 will eat an M3

 

Get the Z06....more aggressive stance...Beamers are for yuppies (unless that is what you are)....I seen a blue one the other day...that thing was meannnnnnn....=P

The problem with the Z06 is that it looks like every other 100k C5s on the road. When I had my Coupe in 99, Vettes were common.

Now with everyone running around with Vettes that look like they came out of a Mid-America catalog.....Z06 side scoops, Z06 front mesh inserts, Z06 wheels, and a bunch of other tacked on shit. Most people don't know or care what the hell they are looking at anymore.

The Z06 is an amazing sport car though and is a fine choice....if your looking for a sports car. Trust me, using a Vette as an everyday car gets old.

 

The Z06 is a great daily driver IMO. Yes, it doesn't have the greatest interior, but to get the same level of performance AND a luxury interior you have to get a 996 TT. I can live with the C5 interior and GM quality because the performance is worth it to me. The Z06 is the best handling car I have driven.

 

Tough call.

 

if you plan on modding the car, get the m3. it is absolutely insane how nice these things can look with a few mods.
the z06 however, is not as nice when modded compared to a m3 modded.
still though, the m3 lacks torque down low, so remember the z06 is not only faster up top, but can haul ass down low very easily as well.
a good thing since you dont have to downshift when jumping lanes!
