Mod #2: EXHAUST. The wagon has more soundproofing than the sedan, likely because of the open cabin with hatch. Where I could hear the stock exhaust in my sedan, I couldn't hear jack in my wagon. I had an exhaust on before I had 1000 miles on my then new wagon.

With those two mods, you will have no trouble hearing what kind of speeding ticket you are in for. You really don't need any other mods than that right now, until you get used to the speed.

Oh yeah, Mod #3: Radar detector. That is, unless you are good friends with a traffic ticket lawyer. I guarantee, you will need it in this car. Get a (Mod #4) Blendmount for stealth on-rear view mirror install like I've got in my car, and it's a two-minute exercise to hardwire a V1.
OK.. had to give you a thanks b/c that is the exact order I'll be doing them in! . I actually don't mind if it's a bit quiet inside... especially since we'll be using this for longer trips... but right now it's just super quiet. It's like hello... is this thing on? LOL.

lol... it may not be in that order, but those are the first 3 things I'll be getting "performance-wise"...

I'm working on picking between intakes and exhaust. I really think I'm just going to do a muffler delete. I've heard several flowmaster setups, some decent ones. I've researched many of the catback setups and corsa seems like the best I've heard thus far, but it's pricey.. I would expect some performance increase with that amount of coin.

Intakes.. idk. I want a good intake grumble, but filtration is my biggest concern. Thinking of just going with an aftermarket pipe, adding heat shield and maybe remove the front baffle and doing a retro front dam (sideswipe).

Sedan exhaust: Corsa axle back Sport or Touring. Done. No drone at all, sounds stock until you go WOT, then..... If you are adding power, though, keeping the stock mufflers is not a bad option and you can add headers, etc.

Because I have a wagon, choices were more limited. I have a Stainless Works catback....but I live 15 minutes from their HQ, so if I have a problem, I go right back over there. Borla and KPE are the other catback choices. Axleback, there's only the Corsa Sport (no Touring).

The purpose of an intake in this car is more to get rid of the stock sound baffles so you can hear the supercharger whine. The amount of power added is debatable and that's not a primary concern of mine, though with appropriate tuning (optional) you can get some decent gains.

As far as filtration, I've not had any issues. I use the stock Airaid oiled filter, and because it's so dusty where I live, I added a prefilter on the filter. So far, it's been on for 20k miles and the filter looks fairly clean. . The Airaid comes with a shield, though how much heat it keeps away from the intake, I'm not so sure.

Those are pretty much my findings. Been leaning towards Corsa and Airaid and would likely do them together. There was someone on the forum who was looking to trade for a stock exhaust and had the SW exhausts... but I'd have to hear them as I'm worried about drone, especially for our highway trips.

Juniorbean's Porsche to CTS-V Wagon Thread - *UPDATE Page 7*

I have the SW. The automatic owners say there is a drone between 1500-1800 rpm. As a 6MT owner, I spend very little time in that range, so I don't really notice a drone.

To hear Corsas (sedan) and the SW (wagon), go to my YouTube page (also neuronbob) and my exhaust videos are easy to find.

^ I'll have to listen. I'm pretty sure I've seen your Corsa video before, but didn't realize you had one with the SW's. May not be an issue anyway as the guy on the exhaust forum hasn't written back yet anyway

Well splitters arrived but haven't had a chance to install them yet. Don't want to rush them so hoping to have time this week.

In the meantime here's two quick pics before heading to Cars & Coffee on Saturday. Gave it a quick wash and spray wax. Funny enough C&C was packed and I was parked waaaaay in the back. Even so this thing got more attention in 1.5 hours versus what the 911 got total the few times I brought it to C&C...

Thanks for letting me thoroughly check out the insides of the Vagon on Saturday JB. You have made my decision pretty easy for me after that. Still have never driven one but I can only imagine home good the Vs are in general with the amount of power I have right now already.

Can't wait to see the side and rear splitters installed.

^ No problem!!

It's funny b/c on the way home from C&C the misses was like "I hate to admit it but the ride in this car is awesome". I just smiled and said, "wait until I add another 130hp". At that point she rolled her eyes and said "don't push it".

I'm just happy I like it b/c like the Porsche, I bought this sight unseen and I had never even driven one... so I'm glad it worked out.

I saw your PM... have to hop on another conference call at 11am but I'll be able to respond later in the day with some info

^ Nice to meet you too! Also glad someone got some pics! After we got home I was like, dammit, I didn't even take a pic of it at C&C!

JB, get used to requests like that. At Mid-Ohio this weekend, some guys were interested in all the Vs in the V series Corral....and I let them sit in the driver's seat. Another guy got a nice blast of SW exhaust. It's constantly like this. In my case, it's the crazy color that gets everyone's attention first, then "wait, it's a Cadillac...wagon?" Then the eyes light up as they realize what it is. Then I show them the manual shifter and folks damn near faint in shock.

I was laughing b/c I did get a bunch of people who wanted to look in (I just had the doors and back open at that point) and even one family who wanted to hear the exhaust. I told them it was 100% stock but they didn't care. LOL. On the way home I told my wife... ladies loved the Porsche, but this thing is a pure sausage magnet.

Also, anyone any good at Photoshop that can shop the wheels below onto my Vagon? Sucks the only profile shot I could find of these were taken on grass, but it's a new fitment to the CTS-V so not many options to choose from...

Hey Jason: Cars for Sale: 2012 Cadillac CTS V in Phoenix, AZ 85014: Wagon Details - 395927306 - Autotrader .

Rare interior combo. Funny though that the ad says CTS Escalade. Someone did a copy/paste. This has been talked about on the forum though so check out the "Avoid the eBay Wagon" topic on CTS-V Owners. This is not that wagon, but it came up in conversation. I thought it looked pretty good...

Was that really a factory interior option? It looked like a really good option until I saw those seats.
