Been getting tons of interest from the cars.com and autotrader.com ads... but the biggest thing so far has been the eBay ad. Ends Wednesday but I have ~65 watchers and have had several folks message me that they're interested... so we'll see.

Just some constructive suggestions.
Do the pictures open to full size? They don't on my iPad. Might be good to have bigger shots.
Is there a reason you just didn't install that? Seems like a pretty simple fix.
I always question some of the FS threads on our board where they say just needs X. It's a simple fix. Well then why didn't you do it?

Only thing needed is a line filter for the amp as there is some feedback through the speakers at time

Just started happening and haven't had a chance. May get to do it over the long weekend coming up. I'm not good with car audio... so will likely need a bit of help too...

It's yours if you want it
FS: Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet | Nicely Upgraded | Great Condition! - 6SpeedOnline - Porsche Forum and Luxury Car Resource
Decided to list it for various reasons listed in the ad. May also just take the money and put it into another investment property that just came up near our beach house. As much as I love this thing it is a car, and I can always buy another down the road. So if you know anyone looking, let me know

Heck yes!! Nothing to be sad about. Enjoy many cars in your life, if one stands out, you'll go back to it. Variety is the spice of life..

I never understand financing not going through.. it seems like a common excuse. Are they buying it ahead of loan approval? Or did their wives find out and smack them in back of the head.. I'm guessing the latter. GLWS JB!

They are probably pre-approved based on credit score, etc. But then when the bank finds out what car it is (mileage, or year, or type), they may change the terms or deny it. This is a common issue especially with financing older cars.

Yeah, I don't get it either. I had an older guy locally who was all into it and ready to drive up from about 1.5 hours away to get it, then all of a sudden I got an email that he wasn't ready to buy b/c his last kid was heading to college, blah blah blah. I'm thinking, was all of this a surprise? Everything he mentioned was a life event that you would know about for years... it's not like he suddenly found out his wife was pregnant and popped out a high school graduate, so college tuition was on unexpectedly on the horizon.
I also had one guy try to negotiate by saying his credit union would only finance like $24.5k based on NADA values. I'm like perfect, give me $4k cash plus the loan and we got a deal. Nope, he was trying to finance the whole thing. I basically told him he could probably find a nice late 90's coupe in the low 20's, but that if he was looking to do 100% financing, he may want to wait to buy a Porsche
People are weird...

Sorry the deal fell through. I hope you find a true reputable buyer soon.

Thanks guys. Had someone come look at it yesterday who seemed interested. It's for his dad (son lives near me, Dad is near Clemson). Said he was going to get his dad up here to see it, so we'll see.
Had another from DC reach out who was interested today... so people are still reaching out. Just need to find a cash buyer so I'm not relying on someone getting financing...

You would think (or at least hope) that most people would get approved before reaching out to you. Not all lenders need to know what vehicle you're buying to be approved.
That's annoying. Sorry JB
You should bring it to C&C in the morning

For people of more modest means, it is a large enough amount of liquidity to give up. I'd much rather use the bank's money at the >1.5% rates out there these days.
But it is also tough because you're a private seller. I had some issues and ultimately had to pass on an NSX because I couldn't find financing. They just weren't willing to go because of the age of the car and the fact it was a private transaction. It had nothing to do with my credit worthiness, etc. Of course I also didn't lead the seller on. I test drove it and then said I'd get back to him if the bank would approve.
Good luck with your sale.

Thanks all! Unfortunately I missed C&C this weekend as I was at the WKA Nationals at Carolina Motorsports Park. I actually drove the Porsche to the track and have to admit I will miss it when it's gone. Such a nice ride
I have had two more people reach out, both would be cash buyers and both said they'd have an offer this week, so we'll see.

Fahrvergnügen'd
The internet has created a disassociation for people in that they don't consider the responding party at the other end of a conversation to be a real person. So they just kick tires and jerk people around because they're bored or irrationally dreaming or whatever.
It sucks for sellers because this is your time being wasted on someone who isn't a serious buyer. But the "buyer" doesn't care ... They got to dream about buying a Porsche for a day.
Sure, there are serious buyers that find out more about the car and cross it off their list. But someone like the guy with a kid in college wasn't being honest with himself and wasted JB's time for no reason.
