JS went Brexit 2018 Jaguar XE S

So I was enjoying my life as a father of toddler and infant with my swaggerwagon Sienna for awhile. It's honestly the best car purchase I have ever made since it is literally humongous. It's the ultimate daddy vehicle.

Then I've been looking to purchase a Civic Type R for almost a year. Just didn't pull the trigger yet because I didnt really need another car nor didnt want to deal with teaching my wifey how to drive a manual car. She did NOT like the look of CTR at all which is very understandable.

One of my buddy is a friend of GM at Santa Monica Jaguar. Jaguar was running a crazy special lease program for about 10 XE S leftovers. All 10 units sold in 2 days and I got the last one. Wont really go into the detail of the insane lease deal. Let's just say that the car is stickered at 61K but I got it for cheaper than GTi lease.

Anyway, nobody seems to know this car. It's a total sleeper. Supercharged V6 engine with 380hp but looks nothing like it. The exhaust sounds like a mini F-Type.The car has too many options to note.

I have learned that the infortainment system has been the worst in the industry for the pre-2019 models but I got the system updated from the dealer, so its actually very quick and has Android Auto and Apply Carplay which is all I need. The full digital gauge can view the navigation map which is actually very useful.

Anyway, heres some of my cellphone photos for now. Gonna get it limo tinted and remove the front plate and reinstall the tow hook cover in the front.

Interior will get some nice Alcantara treatment and want to put some black wheels later on. Probably downsize to 18s but wider wheels and stickier tires since the stock tires are all seasons. LOL

Awesome car! I've always loved Jaguars but never had the courage to pull the trigger on one. Curious to follow how it works out for you. Looks great and good luck!

Congrats on the Jag! Great looking ride. Can't wait to see what you do with it. I think you should go wider wheels for sure that are flush but I say stick with the 19s.

A looker for sure, and with some good numbers to back it up.

The XE & refreshed XF are both some handsome cars.

Me too! The car was just stupid cheap and I do have a nice Jag/Land Rover dealership 10 minutes from me so just pulled the trigger.

I must be getting old. Loving all the digital gauges and options the car comes with.

The supercharger whine sound is pretty intoxicating by the way!

My dealer lost the tow hook cover somehow. They ordered a new one when I got the car. The rep brought it over to my place and installed it.

That dealership offers this program called Encore. They send out a rep who knows everything about the car and answer any questions that the owner might have after a few weeks of ownership.

I had like 5 questions that I couldn't figure out and the rep answered everything for me in detail. Pretty nice service.

Next month I'm going to tackle some stuff! Too busy with customers orders unfortunately (fortunately).

Gonna try to do some OEM+ treatment like this XE SV Project 8 interior.

Alcantara steering wheel, Cluster hood, door panel inserts. Something like that in either Black or Anthracite Alcantara!

The OEM interior is nicely laid out with leather everywhere but it is a bit boring.

That wouldn't be easy at all, the facelifted 2020 models get those stick ones.

But the rotary knob is actually pretty cool after playing with the car for two weeks!

Wish the car was a little louder like FType! Trying to see if there's any simple exhaust mod to make it slightly louder. It does sound pretty wild though.

And yes, I was pretty much ready to buy the CTR but wife convinced me that it's a bad move for the family. Wife didn't want to deal with the manual transmission.

This crazy popped up by my friend and it was just unbelievable. So glad that I got it though. It's actually very fun to drive, loving the power too. The car moves so effortlessly. Coming from MS3, BRZ, and NB Miata, it's mind blowing how fast the car is in a straightline haha

a bad move for the wife is a bad move for the family!

Congrats, Jin...
I did not see this coming but I don't blame you one bit.
I miss a supercharger whine. Now all I get is a bunch of kids whining.
