Very curious on the lease details. I’ve tried to lease out an LR in the past and the residuals are so bad there is no offsetting it into “good/great” lease territory.

Are you going to mod a leased car? I’d be very careful about that given it’s a jag..besides the obvious financial decision on modding a leased car, I wouldn’t want to fuck around with the warranty or make things difficult at the end of the lease. Maybe they find ways to penalize you if they can’t CPO it. The jaguar secondary market is a world of difference in used “non CPO” land. So I could see jaguar dealers having very little flexibility on things breaking the warranty when you try to give it back. Plus they probably rarely deal with people modding them

I did not see this coming but I don't blame you one bit.
I miss a supercharger whine. Now all I get is a bunch of kids whining.
I needed a louder whining sound to drone out my trouble maker son. It's been working great.

Like, every day!
The mpg for this car is rate at like 21/30 but I'm averaging 16.

You know I'm getting on the boost every opportunity I get hahahaha Didn't realize how fun it is to have some decent power.

Gonna get a new set of stickier tires for the car soon. It came with all season continentials which makes no sense with 380hp.

I don't get to drive much these days so I try to drive it like I stole it.

Can't disclose the deal info but it was the deal of the century. If I buyback the car and sell the car today, I would make thousands out from it.

I don't really care about modding this car. There's zero aftermarket support anyway. I'll probably end up putting some nice wheels and tires and maybe make the exhaust sound a little louder. None of this will mess up with the warranty. The car is really fast from the factory, I don't have to mess with it.

I'll probably take the car to the tracks a couple of times for fun.

Jaguar isn't Alfa. It's not that unreliable. And I have this amazing Jaguar/Land Rover dealer 10 mins away from me if anything happens.

One thing I don't like about this car is the trunk cargo volume. The sq ft is comparable to the competitors but the shape and bulges of the trunk space takes out a lot of the usable space. Not sure why British dudes couldn't figure out how to make trunk space

But yeah, my son loves the sound of this car. The car sounds so angry all the time haha Bought a compact folderable stroller and smaller bag for this car. I mainly use this car for me and son play time everyday, so the car does that very well.

I did a few quick beach trips in this car with my wife and two kids and full of kids stuff in the trunk, it's not bad but I got too used to not folding anything with Sienna.

I'm so addicted to the power though. I don't get to drive much so everytime I drive this, I make sure to try to get the worst gas economy. My BRZ had 200 hp and NB Miata had like 110 hp. So this car feels like a freight train to me

I don't! haha It was just one of the things that I've learned in the first month of ownership. I never even opened the trunk before getting the car

Literally saw the lease numbers and went to the dealership to test drive for 10 mins and signed the paper!

Wish I get to drive more like I used to! Maybe when my second child turns 4 or 5 haha

Friend picked up some tires for me. Got these Federral ST1 in the stock tire size.

This car came with all season tires so just wanted some grippier summer tires to try out. These were under $400 for the set brand new.

$400 ain't bad. The OE Contis on the C were something like $1300 installed.

Got the Federal ST1 tires mounted and balanced yesterday. The driving experience difference is a night and day compared to the stock all season Contis.

I still think the XE is the most handsome car in its class. That sounds like an awesome deal! Hard to go wrong with that along with factory warranty. No need to worry about depreciation too haha.

I gotta defend the ctr here...It's a great family car except it doesn't offer a dct or auto transmission. I wish it came with one so that my wife could drive it too. There's so much cargo room versus any sedan. But if wife says no, it means no, lol. And you already have a sienna, the second car doesn't have to be one with big cargo space

So the dealer updated the infotainment system and added Android auto and apple car play support? That's neat to be able to add features like that.

Yeah! It was a deal of the century so just took it! So far so fun. I just don't get to drive out much these days with two kids so that's the only sad thing haha

No need to defend the CTR. I'm the biggest fanboy of that car and literally was about to purchase one out of state with no markup. And CTR has been the best platform for my interior business for the past three months. Worked on more than 50 CTRs all over the world and it's not getting any slower at all. haha I love the car.

And yes, my XE S has the tech package that can be updated from the dealer. The dealer updated to the latest infotainment system before I drove off the lot. The Android Auto is so convenient to use!

Pre-2018 Jag models had some horrible infotainment system and glad they stepped it up big time.

for new tire day.

Funny enough, I went from Conti Summer RFTs to Bridgestone HiPo All Season non-RFTs & the grip & ride are better than before.

My kid fell asleep in the car while passing the canyon road so I just took it up. The car feels so effortless going up. Smooth ride with so much torque down low.

First time driving in the canyon fairly fast. This thing is fun to drive. The steering feels great. It's not numb at all like the Avant was. That was the only thing I didn't like about our Audi Avant. This car feels much lighter than it is.

Not used to the power at all. Rarely used brakes with Miata and BRZ but I found myself braking a lot because it gets up to the speed so fast. The Federal ST1 tires are amazing. Very predictable. It talks a lot. It was making screeching noise a lot but very easy to control.

I need to make this exhaust louder asap. Sounds so good but could be much louder. Gonna just cutout the mufflers and do a delete with the stock pipes so it looks completely stock. Hoping the car sounds more like F-Type with it haha

The most impressive thing about the car?

Auto high beam and swiveling headlights... It's AMAZING for night canyon drive.

But yeah, I just want the car to be louder! So happy with everything else. No modding!

My lease on this car was so insanely good that I got a quote from Carvana of $40500 and payoff is $33000. $7000 profit from having it for 6 months.

Will be selling it next weekend and gonna shop for a CTR! Wish me luck.

Didnt you just post on FB recently how much you loved this car?

Seriously though...smart move when you can cash out and make money.

Yeah!! I love the car as is. But I do miss modding the car and a manual car.

And CTR would actually help me with my business a lot. The CTR market blew up on me. Worked on almost 100 CTR interiors in one year and there's so much potential. Want to have one to showcase everywhere.

And yeah, cashing out sounds like a no brainer!

Yeah! Jaguar has -8600% aftermarket support so it's a bit... boring. You know?

And wish it was white color hahaha

If used, don't really care. I like all.

But if it's new, Sonic Grey or White.

The markup has been gone outside of CA for almost year man!

I'm trying to find a decent used one for $30k right now.

If nothing for a month, I'll just get a new Sonic Grey one for sticker. It's like $36k.
