JS+MS3's 2010 Mazdaspeed3 Updates (Still a 4x4)!
BC Coilovers are trash. Surprised you haven't heard this from MSP forums. Horribly built with different components rusting and breaking. I've done a ton of research on them.
Spend the extra dough and get something more reputible.

Should I paint my stock rims? in black or gunmetal maybe?
And I drive pretty aggressively through the corners almost everyday, is it a bad idea to change the springs only? Every 1G MS3 owner says the BC makes the best coilovers for the Mazda vehicles, but they didn't release the coilovers yet.. so I was just thinking of getting the H&R sport springs which lowers my car about 1.3 inches all around, then upgrade to BC's in the future.
I'm just worried that my driving habits may possibly blow the stock shocks with aftermarket springs.
I had a set of Aspec suspension on my 3G TL, but never had any type of springs on my cars.
Any recommendations?

over looks. So I would wait before doing suspension mods just because you want to be lower.

^ I think you read my old post or something. I'm waiting for H&R to produce for 2010 mazdaspeeds. They released it on their website, but not in stock anywhere yet.
Yes, MSF guys hate BC coils. lol

Yea I did haha. I'm in class and on my phone so I didn't feel like reading all 4 pages since these pages take a while to load on the phone haha. Kk. Ohh can I ask you a question. What made you choose the ms3 over the gti. I'm sure you considered that car. Because I'm looking into getting a hot hatch. Dunno when yet but I've come down to the gti and ms3. I'm leaning toward the gti now. But more opinions can change my mind. Either car I will leave mostly stock. Maybe I might go stage 1 on the gti but that's it. The ms3 alrdy has enough power going to the fronts for me so that would most likely stay stock other than wheel and tire upgrades. I plan on autocrossing and tracking my next car also.

guys, i think you guys read my old posts.. lol yes i was set on getting BC coilovers before, but all my friends told me not to do it because BC coilovers are the cheapest taiwan brand products.. yes so i'm not getting them. Most of the MSF members told members not to get BC anyway due to its low quality.
I'm actually performance over looks as well. I don't really care about straightline performance, I'm all for handling. I could probably put a decent set of 19 inch high end rims on my car, which will look very nice. However, I'm all for some ultra lightweight 18inch rims or even 17inch with some good meaty tires. My stock rims look really good in my opinion, but it is pretty heavy with 26 lbs each. So, I'm looking to cut about 6-7 lbs each corner with a new set of rims.
And, as for the suspension, I'm going to put on Progress RSB with H&R or KW V1 coilovers. OR maybe if Mazda does produce some Mazdaspeed genuine parts for us, then I'll probably just get Mazdaspeed coilover which is actually KW V3 for around $1,500.

You just can't go wrong with either. Really. They are both EXTREMELY fun cars with hatchback utility. Before I commited on the purchase, I did test drive 2010 MS3, WRX 5-Door, MiniS, and GTi. I think I did some review on these test drives on page 3 or 2, so you can read them when you get home.
However, I'll just say that GTi felt a little bit tone down (girly, sorry moog). It's just my opinion, that's all.
Also, GTi that I wanted was around $28k, it was 2009 model. Now, it's even more expensive with the brand new generation out. Even though it was about $4k more expensive than 2010 MS3 (which is much better equipped in terms of options and features), GTi had around 60 less hp and 70 less tq stock. That was a big turn off for me.. Like I said in my previous post, I don't really care about straightline performance, but I just didn't like the fact that there's that much of difference in stock numbers.
And I am well aware of APR ECU upgrade (I encouraged my gf to get 2010 A4 Avant, which is a fantastic vehicle), and I do know that fully modified GTi vs fully modified MS3, it's GTi >> MS3 in straightline. MS3 hits the ceiling wall at 350 whp currently. However, I don't really care about that since I know I'm not going to drop that much money on this.
So.. just test drive both and go with what you like the most. You really can't go wrong with either.

And, yes the Mazda emblem is pretty big on the back. I'm going to paint them in glossy black soon, both front and back.

Guys, what do you guys think of a custom license plate of "DUMB SML" with this?
Should I do it? or if you have some more funny idea, please let me know!
but I definitely want to point out the dummy smile that my car has in front. lol 7 letters maximum with 1 spacing.

I understand that it's a controversal looking front end. All the magazine and 1st generation ms3 owners hate it. But after all, it's a completely subjective matter, you know?
I bought it because I loved the way it looks plus all the good stuff it comes with it. Not to mention it's fking cheap. $23k even

and i'm not trying to defend its design at all, but i guess the gills in the front are functional. look at the 3 posts above yours.
I don't really give a shit about it though, mazda probably came up with that AFTER people started talking crap about the dummy smile in the front.

YSOSRIUS is perfect!!!!!
You said above that there is 7 letters max with 1 spacing. Does that mean you can do a total of 8 letters without the space or is the space required? If not, do what Tyler said.

"LOL WUT" man?
that sounds funny too
yeah huh? haha
I noticed that there are only 7 slots on the form, so it's 7 letters maximum.

hmm I don't know if I like that or not..
I really have no problem with my front end.
If I didn't, I would not have bought the car in the first place.
The only thing I'm going to do evetually is painting that front gills in glossy black to completely match the body. And, I'm going to black out the headlights, so I guess I'm going for those partially murdered out look.
But, thanks alot though man. I totally understand that a lot of people hate this mazdaspeed3 dummy face.

there's only one way to black out the headlight, pull them apart and paint the inside stuff.
tinting the headlight is like dropping some black ink shit on your eyeballs.
that shit is cheap looking in my opinion. and even if someone is noob enough to put tint on headlight, he is not going to have it on there for long because cops will love to pull him over.

Why do you want to make visibility worse haha. Whats worse than black tint is that stupid yellow tint people do too

Are you going to put some tint on the tails? I kinda like tint on the tails, some but not much
