If Jon gets the Q50 3.0T, I think he'll like it.
I really hated the tech and interior finishes other than the seats.. but it was otherwise a sweet ride.

Hmm. I didn't realize they were so affordable. Could be another contender.
Jon should buy one.
He already has a car that goes from $32k to 0 in only a few years, doesn't he? I thought the whole point of taking a huge bath on the ILX was to get into another car that wouldn't depreciate as fast and therefore wouldn't decimate his ego.
So, after my IS300 suggestion, I poked around Houston & there is only 1 with a 5MT listed. Quite a few automatics. Very few wagons on Autotrader nationwide, mostly in California.
I wouldn't consider at IS300 based strictly on how absolutely dreadful the gas mileage is. It's not even a performance car but it sure as hell is as thirsty as one.
which would annoy the shit out of me...
I recall getting such horrible gas mileage from the ep3 civic si...it was slow and still got terrible gas mileage.
biggest joke ever...
so the cts-v gets around 14 mixed driving and although it's shitty, it at least feels worth it for the hp.
