Not sure how the Blue Oval decided to use the same name to brand both a malaise era sedan/coupe and a current-day mid-size pickup.

 

GM did it with the Blazer & Trailblazer
Mistu with the Eclipse

 

 

Looks like a shrunken Mazda RX2

I have nothing of value to add (pretty normal for my posts) but the gas filler below the knee cracks me up. Also, it looks pretty cool, I want one!

 

Gas filler looks like it might be a bit higher than the one on my Midget

yours is below the trunk lid and above the bumper, right? I think that looks a lot better than mounting it low on the side slab.

First thought is Lancia with that headlight shape.

 

Headlights look Lagonda to me.

 

Zagato was the first thing that came to mind for me

Overall, it looks very close to me. The hood doesn’t have the hidden mirrors, bumper is different and the window behind the door looks different too, but headlights and parking lights or indicators look the same and so is the general shape.

 

We're halfway there. It's def a Zagato collab. But with which marque?

Another hint on the Zagato collab: it's a Japanese marque.

 

Alright, browsed google images a bit, it’s an Autech, which is what the red one was too, this is just another model it seems. Oddly, the other one (red one on page 76) a few links said nissan, so I assume same for this one, although, I didn’t see that association explicitly in my brief search.

 

IIRC, Autech is a Nissan tuning house, like Nismo.

 



 

 

Looks like a Delta Integrale's ugly cousin

 

hahaha, or an early golf and the delta Integrale were brother-sister and they had a kid.



edit; I do like the seats though.

 

Interior has a very 'cardboard kit car' feel to it, that shifter is nestled deep in that console.

 

Any wild guesses? Or shall I just reveal what it is?
