70s Italian?
Lancia of Alfa?
First thought was a Fulvia, but a Google check doesn't quite match up.

Fun fact on the Fulvia, they were all V4 powered.

Top Gear on repeat helps sometimes
IIRC Richard had one in a challenge episode, think it was green.

Obviously not an M1, but that blurred badge on the c-pillar made me think M1 immediately

I see how you can see the M1, but the C-Pillar was much wider on the M1. I was thinking potentially a Lancia, but also see some older Lamborghini there as well.

Not an M1, nor a Lancia.

But right on target with the Lambo guess. Any guesses on the model? (Although I suppose you can just look it up.)

I knew it wasn't a M1, just was the first thought with the badge on the C-pillar

Once NBP suggested Fiat, I cheated and went online. Would've never guess this.

What a horrible looking car!

I have a few cars I took pics of on my trip that I would like to know what they are. I assume I can post here, even though I don’t have the answer?

Looks like a lancia grill, but dunno which. I I gotta say the Italy plate helped. The initial “ugly” factor made me think of Daewoo though

Alright here are a bunch of pics…

1)Reminds me of Richard Hammond’s Oliver. But the wheels make me think of Citroen.

2) car on trailer, not the Dacia towing.

3)reminds me of a beetle, but isn’t. Second guess would be a Porsche 911

4) must be French with those yellow lamps…

5) Citroen, but which?

Were you in France?? #1 is definitely Citroen. Not sure about #2 on the trailer but the car towing it, looks to be Renault. #3 is a Renault.

Looks like a convoy of French folks headed to a classic car show?? In any case, pretty

I think 1 is a Citroen Ami and 5 is a (Citroen) Traction Avant.

Have no idea about 2-4, although the grille on 4 made me think of a prewar BMW, but the "kidney bean" shape seems too wide for that. And it's not French!

Yeah, I’m in France now, coming back mid of next week.
The vehicle towing is a Dacia Duster.

My rental is an A6 avant which I posted in the wagon section. I had a choice to switch to an XC60, but that was not going to happen. I didn’t travel to Europe to drive a f—ken SUV.

I guess technically we are both right as Dacia is owned by Renault.

Yeah, I agree. But also gives vibes of early Ferraris, Lambos, Maseratis, etc.

A closer look at the grill/headlights could be useful in narrowing the possibilities.

yup, even back in the days, my family’s first car was a Dacia 1310, basically a Renault 12.

we drove by, does that count? But no, unfortunately we didn’t go. We did consider it though, but kids are with us and it would have been a bit much. I found these great tickets with full access and helicopter tour, only $15k per person, but wife yet again rolled her eyes at me.
we did watch some of it from our room!
Today is an easy / relax day so we are probably going to watch some F1 and catch up on some work.

General admission was ~$100 and they had a kid zone with games and activities 🤣

Looks very Italian to me, also assuming it’s a dead brand. Nothing Ferrari, lambo fiat or Alfa looked like that.
the rear gills had me thinking it was rear engine for a second.

More clues:

Check out the front end. A "beak" before the Acura beak. The (Italian) marque died in the mid-1970s, but has been revived ("refounded") some years back in the late 2010s.

Here's the last car this company made.

Is that a bespoke car? It looks based on a Viper, it's gorgeous.

Still stumped Would love to see what the others guess...
