It's not Aztec ugly, IMO. But I'd just have an NSX instead.
The Miata based model from the prior page that looks like a C2 Vette, not bad.

Yes, the Excel's original model name was the Lotus Eclat Excel. So it was a direct offshoot.

The marque is now defunct, but was associated with Peugeot at some point in its history.

Yeah, it's pretty obscure. The 3 seats and the mid-engine set up are really distinctive. Something about the lines too that's quiet appealing, at least to my eye.
