GTR @ the car show
By every account the Nissan GTR IMO was
ugly.
Until I walked up on it at the car show this morning
Pictures do not do this car any justice. You gotta see it for yourself.
What a beauty. I'll have to go back tomorrow to take pictures of it and the M.E. Four Twelve
That is all.

Looks like sex on wheels for sure, esp that rear. But man, what went wrong with the interior? Looks like it should be in the Nissan Titan rather than their premier sports car! Might just be the center console and gauge box throwing everything off? Something about it just doesn't fit with the car though...

here's another one.. delayed posting
Thought I'd throw up another GT-R auto show pic for good measure. Saw this last Sat. at the SF Auto Show. Like everyone says, it looks way more badass in person than in pics. Got a couple of free posters and a Nissan brochure, so that was cool and unexpected.

Tough choice though. I'm looking at an 07 c2s meteor grey with 3000 miles on it for 77 K, original sticker price was 93 K. I can also put a deposit down to be first in line for a gtr when it debuts in June 08, suggested sticker price according to dealership is 69 to 72 K. Who knows if they will mark it up like when the nsx debuted? Plus I have no choice on color, trim, etc, pretty much gotta take what I get. Only 4 to 6 gtrs coming to dealership over an 18 month period. Apparently nissan is only manufacturing 1500 for u.s. export.I found it interesting that a given nissan dealership needs to pony up 25 K to nissan japan to be eligible to sell the gtr. Plus they need to have a "master technician" whatever that means. My biggest fear would be having some dude that takes care of sentras handling my gtr with it's all new chasis and transmission. "Front mounted engine and rear mounted transmission with double driveshafts and plasma-lined cylinders? Let me check the manual, lol"
I too went to the Austin auto show this weekend. The moment I stepped through the doors onto the showroom floor and saw that snarling face of the GTR, my mouth dropped. What a sexy machine. It was worth the $5 admission just to see the GTR in person.
Picked up a poster of it which is now hanging in my room.
Oh, and the M-E Four Twelve was nice too.
