Since everyone here likes the Aventador (yes, everyone dammit!), here's the first Roadster finished in white.

I dont see how the i8 which is gonna be a pretty damn expensive car will be better than the tesla in any way, other than it can use gas

The plug-in hybrid i8 is expected to pair a 1.5-liter three-cylinder driving the rear wheels with an electric motor driving the front, the combined output predicted at 393 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. Assuming its weight really does come in at 3,125 pounds, it will have a 20-mile all-electric range, a top speed of 156 miles per hour, and get from zero to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds.
and its probably gonna cost as much as the tesla. BMW may have shitted themselves with the the tesla's stats.

Looking at jack stands. Any suggestions?

JCWhitney has Torin Big Red 3-TON or 6-TON (6 ton is actually cheaper, yeah overkill though) pair for $28.87 shipped after promo code.

Walmart has Torin 3 Ton (Black Jack) pair for $27.67.

Sears has Craftsman 3 ton pair for $29.99.

Been a slow few days at work recently after the first CLS63 came through. 2nd came in today as well as one of our first LS-F Sports. Both so luxurious inside.

Hopefully they review it next season.

Is it surprising because he's not picking some lambo or aston?? Or do you think the car doesnt deserve it??

It's surprising because last time I checked, he's a snub grumpy guy who is not a fan of pretty much anything made outside of the UK. I would not have expected him to pick an exotic, just something more on the 'conservative' side of things. I think the car deserves it, it seems like it made a pretty big splash this year and was a good thing for the auto industry, generally speaking.

high price, at least compared to what I see here, maybe it's just because I'm in Chicago (?). I see deals for driving F430 or Gallardo's at the track for similar sessions, and they cost $150.

this is a pretty terrific and opportunity btw, I mean it's one luxury to get to drive these cars at a track, but it's an entirely different luxury to not have to worry about having to repair or perform any maintenance on the car after the event is over..

one difference I found - you get 5 laps in the CTS-V, versus 2 laps in the F430, Gallardo, R8 or 911.

Hell, for 160 bones that's an awesome deal and would love the experience. I should keep my eyes open for future opportunities, then.

i agree with the exotic bit but not the fact that he's a fan of nothing made outside the UK. He's notorious for owning AMG mercedes, lambos, ford gt, i'm sure ferrari's as well? He love the M3.
But yea, him not picking a car thats so expensive is surprising. Maybe its the fact that he had so much fun in this car and its so cheap.

Clarkson tends to like cheaper cars, but they have to really wow him. Look at his opinions of hot hatches.

I think he's simply a fan of well-balanced cars, regardless of price point. May seems to be the one who likes cheaper cars in general.

Yeah, well, Porsche pricing - "Oh, you wanted a steering wheel in your vehicle? Well, that will be part of the special 'Actually Drivable Package' for the generous price of $9,450!"- says the nice salesman.
