hly sht. I think they put up a tracing of a 599 and started from that. then they added the GTR and Viper elements to it.

All I see is a stretched GT-R. Not a fan.

but seriously - the most disappointing thing about this is - Corvettes used to have their own personality - their own hallmark characteristics - the swooping lines - the curves - and these were carried forward through the generations - even to the C6. All of that heritage and history is lost on this model.

alright so before we get too ahead of ourselves - a reminder that this is a rendering - but from everything else we've seen - I'd say it's not too far fetched. I think the production model will look something like this.

another reminder tho, the C6 took cues from the 360 Modena in the headlights - so it's not the first time this has happened..

nice. we had a LeSabre and Electra (I think those are same bodystyle). Big ass cars, awesome highway cruisers. A lot of our friends had the wagon versions, those were some sweet ass vacation cruisers!

My dad used to drive a Caprice cab. Would love to drive that bodystyle around for a while.
Passenger mirror wasn't standard?

look at the lines on the spy photos.... they do add up to what we're seeing in the renders - unless Chevy has pulled a great stunt by also dressing it up with fake panels to give a misleading shape

Hmmmm. That spy photo reminds me of a stretched out 550/575, especially the rear half.

On second glance, I take back the black A-pillar comment. But the mule's A-pillar looks a lot longer and steeper to me than the rendering.

That's true.
I'm gonna hit up the Detroit show this year for sure. Anyone else going?

Just got the call. I'm picking up the ST after work today.
Finally, my car buying experience comes to a close. It's been hell since June. Glad to close this chapter.
I am a bit sad to leave the Acura family, but the TSX has been a terrific car. Will always praise Acura, besides their future decision making.
This weekend should be fun...

I ordered a Green Filter and it is due to arrive in today, so I will probably throw that on.
Tomorrow looks to be 43F and partly cloudy, so I'll be able to take some pics then. Unfortunately it will be dark when I pick it up tonight but I'll still snap a few.
I need to head over to Costco and buy a jack and jack stands. And depending on time, I might install the RSB and possibly RMM.
As for the tune, I might hold off a week or so just to get used to the stock feel so I can really tell the difference. And I can throw on the tune at any time, so there's no rush.

If you see one in that pic, you see one on a 1000 lb diet.
Remember its just a artist rendering. All we have are heavily camoed spy shots. Lines and details are hidden and can be misleading. I for one am excited to see it. Especially to see what they have done for seats.

So, I drove a 2010 Prius yesterday at work, & my only thought was this: Is this really the car a bunch of celebrities were going out & buying a couple years ago? Seriously? Multi-millionaires & this is what they buy to be green? Lexus Hybrids were still available then & are still a lot nicer (the CT/HS have a lot of Prius in them).
I'm not knocking the car itself, it was pretty solid beyond the horrendously cheap interior & maybe it was the trim I drove, but I can't see how people like DiCaprio, Owen Wilson, & Bradley Cooper (among several others) would drive these cars.

It's the iPhone effect....there might be better phones but you don't get to say you have an iPhone. It's more of a conversation piece than anything.
"Oh what do you drive."
"A Prius, and let me tell you why it's the best car in the world."

Well, I guess at least there are still people like Dempsey in the celebrity world.

It looks like an awesome place to be. Plenty of tech/creature comforts and plenty of goodies for the enthusiast. Congratulations on finally picking it up.
