As tempting as the RS5 is, it's hard to ignore the performance value of the Model 3P...
Also, not a bunch of discounts to be had on a RS5 though I do love that green color quite a lot.
Used RS5 SB's aren't off lease yet, that's when the prices will come down in late 2021 or early 2022.
Also a contender but so expensive even used...that said they do hold their value quite well.
Not in the engine I'd want.
I'm fine with the auto at this point, I've made my peace with it. As much as I'd love to have my next DD be a manual, I can't see it happening.

I am actually OK with ZF8 now... after having 2 of them.. it is not a boring auto...
as far as straight line acceleration goes, it is hard to beat Model 3P... I have motion sickness so i personally would never own one..
But i need the exhaust noise... and better interior than the IKEA show room
To be honest, i was one of those "never auto" guy.. i DDed manual for a whole decade in LA traffic...

As innovative as Tesla is, i am very surprised they are not the leader in HUD.... Their interior design is actually designed to have HUD if you think about ... and not just any HUD,, a futuristic HUD...
With no gauges on the driver side and you have to move your head for everything... HUD is a must.

I offered to put the summer tires back on my brother's Accord. Here's what I found on one of them:
Obviously they're being replaced. These are old and dry-rotted. But I've never seen a tire come apart like this before. Have any of you guys seen this?

How old is the tire?
Gonna pull a guess from out of my ass, but my thinking is the camber wear was exacerbated due to a flat spot in that location, therefore wearing it even faster than normal and localizing it to such a small spot. I could be completely wrong, of course... think you'd need to look at the whole tire, consider if the car was sitting for a while, alignment, etc.
Tires do some weird shit. Justrolledintotheshop is an amusing subreddit to see general oddball crap that happens to cars

That's what I thought initially as well. I asked my brother if it was ever towed, he said no. And he's definitely not one to do handbrake turns. I don't know how else it could have been flat-spotted, especially localized like that.
Tire has a 2013 build date on it, probably original to the car (it's a 2014). As far as I know it was driven daily until around mid-November. The tires were laid flat and stored indoors since then.
I'm going to take a good look at the winters when they come off the car. That should indicate whether an alignment is necessary.
Also a fan of Justrolledintotheshop. Maybe I'll post it there

My GF's previous Civic had flat spot problem... and eventually it became more noise on the freeway ... Turned out i had to change the shocks... That was when i learned broken shock could cause flat and bold spots on tires.
I can't see the picture you posted, blocked from work.

Leaked... I mean it is better than 4 series... But... pretty laughable..

Some ppl are getting 13% off MSRP before Incentives... and we are not talking about the typical BS $1000 loyalty incentive.. but $8k

I checked it seems ppl are generally getting 10% off + 7k incentives on average...

60k is how much my freaking 340i is!!!!!! in case if you can't tell.... i am getting pretty excited for some reason
Example:
X3m purchase: 76.5k
discount: 13%
rebates: 8k
total: 58.6k
discount: 13%
rebates: 8k
total: 58.6k
X3MC
MSRP: $81750
Price: $71280
Incentives: $5000 + $1000 credit 1st & second pmt
Drive off: $3k
Payment $805 including tax

Personally, did not get a 2021 4-series to replace the '18 440 because, fugly grill. Unfortunate because the rest of the car looks very good. Pretty much a 5/8 scale 8 series coupe.
General comment on the HUD. Would not buy a car that did not have one. Nice add to my Z4, the Launch Control Active Icon & RPM indicator are now moved up to the HUD from the main panel. Had never bothered to use it in the past cars because I did not want to be looking down on launch. Passed 1,000 miles during the week so I tried it out. Robot 2 - BEAR 0. This old guy is becoming obsolete. If the Tesla was not a ugly frog with a kit car interior & no HUD, I could get one & take a nap on the way to the beach.

FIXED: Some people are gonna buy the 4-series regardless, because BMW. Lots of push back on the BMW forum, many hoping for a mid-cycle miracle. Bangle Butt II

The X3M offers the practicality... but it is still an SUV... you cant defeat physics..
This is so irritating.. haha First World Problem...
Plenty of ppl want SUV... probably more ppl want SUV than cars now...
But i am one of those still holding out... even tho every vehicle in my household (except mine) and my gf's household is some kind of SUV now...
The fast and the furious in me is still alive
