Yeah, it's super early. I think this will be the earliest 4"+ on record. Usually this doesn't happen until December-ish.

I think we already have 4" and it's still coming down hard. Definitely going 4WD today.

No way, I don't identify with the brodozer gang. I roll with the jeepbros.

The golf is parked for the next week before I can get the tires swapped out. Made an appointment for Monday.

I'm considering 4wd when it's time to replace the Malibu, some light overlanding/camping in the Hill Country (Central TX) would be fun, not sure with what & have more than plenty of time to go through overanalysis purgatory.
Wife gets a new car first. The Flex is around 120k, but both are paid off, so it's nice not having a car note.

Just get the passport.

It has the best off roading and towing "range". It is a superior "performance" SUV.

I'm sure the flavor of the week will change by then, but thinking JGC or T4R right now.

Typically in older cars, the trip odometer and radio presets would reset. Guessing most are using EEPROM to store the data these days.

Never have had a trip ODO reset with the battery, in the 3 I've had with digital ODOs (04 Civic, 00 TL, 13 Flex).

Looks like used market did go up as discussed due to COVID. I was seeing '17 TLX's going for $15-17K a month ago. Now I can't find any for less than $18K

Yeah, it's just starting to show some sign of softening. If you can wait...wait. It WAS a great time to buy probably in April....but since then it has been a horrible buyer's market with everything inflated and lower supply as well. Time is your friend now as we wait for prices to drop

Here's a good new-ish youtube channel that delves into some industry insider data. First time in months that wholesale prices are starting to decline:

Didn't realize there was such a disdain for the TLX here. I have an Accord now so I'm familiar with the K24 engine already as I prefer to DIY when possible and I've always had Hondas. I like the look The $15K price point was good for similar luxury cars as IS was pricier and Infiniti Q, I don't love. Might just go with a recent Accord if the prices don't cool by next Spring. You guys have better suggestions?

Well my office is like 2 blocks from Club Madonna which is a well known, but shitty, strip club. So, correct Plus I drive like 22 miles each away.

The Evo X also has 4 doors, like the Accord and TLX. Since we're repeating suggestions.

I am realistic though. The RLX with upgraded tires still can't beat the McLaren F1. So, you can't accuse me of over-exaggeration.

Coincidentally, the McLaren F1 is still the fastest car in the world, with a N/A engine. All the subsequent records have used FI to get there.
