True, but they also don't really have any direct competitors. Maybe a few years when Broncos start hitting the used market, JK & JL prices will start to get better.
It's pretty shocking what something like a '13-'15 JKUR goes for with ~50-90k miles on it.

i'm looking at a gold colored one this weekend, but priced at $6500 and interior is trashed...totally not feeling it, ESPECIALLY priced at $6500. I might tell him to go pound sand, unless price is dropped considerably.
I feel like if I'm going to spend $6500 or more, I might as well get one that I enjoy. White exterior with a better kept interior.

 

For a 1G GX, I'd expect cleaner for that price.

There's a gold 04 near Hobby on CL for 6500 that looks pretty clean, but has just over 200k on it.

 

Good idea on white. Hides scratches from branches.

 

Also a pretty clean 03 LC in the Gulfgate area for just under $10k, but lists just over 300k miles.

I expected the WRX to jump on everyone with its launch due to its AWD and 6mt.... maybe the driver sucked..

 

They did one between Camry V6, Accord 2.0T, and MZ6 2.5T. The Accord dominated all. Then did one with Accord and CTR, Accord held its own.

 

To be honest, i think CTR is kinda slow in a straight line with the amount of power it has... and it only weighs 3100 lbs....
But i think the reason Accord held its own against CTR is because of the 10AT vs. 6mt....

It's been fun but I'm not sure if I would do full VTA in my next turbo car... maybe 50/50. I actually bought the Turbosmart BoV (50/50) first but ended up going with Boomba Racing's BoV (VTA) since they are a local manufacturer and shop.

I just saw that the configurator for the new M3/M4 went live so thought I'd check it out. Looks like the normal M3 is equally fast as the M340i for ~$10k more. WTF is the point of the M3 then other than the badge and ability to get a 6MT?

 

M3 will be a lot faster in any configuration... dont look at BMW's website's #s haha

But if you wanna compare 0-60.. 1 is AWD Auto with launch control and the other is a RWD 6mt with a shit load of power, it is not hard to imagine which one could be faster..... from a roll, it will be a different story...

X3M Comp is a low 12 sec or high 11 sec car... that should give you an idea just how fast a M3 will be.... Comp or not... that is only 30hp difference.

I am not sure how i could launch a 6mt M3 with 500hp properly without doing burn outs. From a dig, i think a 6mt RWD M3 might even lose to a WRX... at least initially..

 

Actually let me correct that. X3M Comp is a mid to low 11 sec car....

So an Auto AWD M3.. Comp or not, should be a low 11 sec car all day long or even in the 10s...

6mt RWD.. well that is up to your own ability to launch. I probably will get 13 secs

A true driver's car will be the next Gen M2 Comp. We will see it next year... if it also uses the same engine... that car will fly...and it wont have the same ugly front end...

Can they add 6mt to the Comp Trim or AWD? Yes.
Yet, they only offer the 6mt in the base non-comp RWD form because they know, that will force more ppl to get the 8AT since i believe more ppl would opt for the Comp package with higher HP and faster advertised #s...

So it is more like.. "you guys are screaming for 6mt, here, we gave it to you but you dont want it and you chose 8AT, so that is it" I think by LCI (in 2-3 years) 6mt will be gone all together for both M3/M4...
