The excuses made for this are beyond tolerable. "The car was stolen", until the videos surfaced. "His mother & brother passed from Covid-19", yet I heard it was his father from another person. What was the excuse for all his other ran-out-of-talent wrecks?
I know he's wrecked a manual SV, nearly destroyed the front end on his CLK GTR, and destroyed the MP4-12C in a rally here in Texas.

Given the kind of cars he was able to drive, I assume he has access to immense wealth and hence...it is likely he will continue to get slaps on the wrist.
Poor cars. When rich D-bags who are not car guys start to wreck all kinds of cars...sad for the car community
^ Wow. Looks like a major D-bag.

If you want something to read and click through given you're under house arrest anyways, this is cool (if you have not seen it yet): Nissan's Heritage site...you can go through some of their historical vehicles/cars and etc.

There's a new* Cannonball record

https://jalopnik.com/jerks-use-coron...-ca-1842778691
It was just November the last time the cross-country Cannonball run record was broken by three guys in a Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. Considering nobody is traveling at the moment, it presented an opportunity for the record to allegedly be broken again, this time in an Audi A8.
Think about it. Nobody on the roads right now, as they’re all socially distancing or sheltering place. Likely limited police patrols right now, too. Everyone is distracted. Good idea, right? Well, wrong.
If literally one thing goes wrong—if the team needs to call for help or a tow truck, if they get stopped, if they crash—literally anything goes wrong here and these guys would be pulling resources from an otherwise already overloaded system, not to mention potentially increasing the risk of contracting coronavirus by exposing themselves and others.
On top of that, it’s already super illegal to do a Cannonball run, anyway, as it would normally endanger anyone else on the road.
Road & Track reports there was a lot of talk of privately sponsoring another run at the record in online Cannonball groups planned for early April, but as the pandemic worsened and the government got more serious about minimizing movement, those plans were supposedly scrapped. Still—more than one person or group can have the same idea.
VINwiki, who were part of the November record attempt, already has a video up with some details on the record run:
Only a few months have passed since we reported that the New York-to-Los Angeles Cannonball record was broken. It’s allegedly been broken again. The 26 hour, 38 minute time—which beats the record set in November by more than 45 minutes—appears to be legitimate, according to Ed Bolian, a Cannonball insider and driver who set his own 28 hour, 50 minute record in 2013. Alex Roy, who set the first modern NYC-to-LA record in 2006, also said the new claim is credible based on his analysis of multiple sources.
[...]
All we know about this new set of scofflaws is that there were three, maybe four of them, and that they were driving a white 2019 Audi A8 sedan with a pair of red plastic marine fuel tanks ratchet-strapped into its trunk. They started at the Red Ball Garage in New York City at 11:15 pm on April 4, and ended less than 27 hours later at the Portofino Hotel & Marina in Redondo Beach, California, the traditional start and end points of a Cannonball attempt.

Someone will eventually figure out how to do refueling at speed like they do with airplanes and that should shave a huge chunk of time off the record.
Since money is no object with these things, have a series of vehicles with a shitload of batteries and just do an inflight recharge. If there’s an accident they might survive and won’t go up in a ball of flames.
Cannonball record breaking situation sounds like a bunch of butt-hurt individuals. "Wah, he had an easier time breaking the law than I did".
Way too dramatic. Last 2 record breakers could easily have pulled resources from someone else for any kind of scenario. This argument fails to understand every one of these guys put others at risk in some form or another, the amount of people "theorized" does not matter.

I think the point that's being made there is that doing something like this during an unpredecented global pandemic is just the icing on the cake when it comes to risk.
I’m really falling hard for the GR Supra, especially after watching reviews of it. Now that aftermarket people have fixed the buffeting issue it’s top of my list.
I just hope they offer red interiors on the 2021 models.

Sad to hear the great Sir Stirling has left us.

Does anyone ever watch the Savagegeese videos on YouTube. I'm watching his GR Supra walkthrough right now. He's spent the first five minutes walking through the underside of the car and talking about how it matches or differs from the Z4. It's really well done.
I watched a behind the scenes video where he talked about his process for making the LC500 review and it was insane with how many hours he put in for footage/editing/music/etc./etc. He's said that if someone gave him a LFA to review, it will be one of the best videos he will put out...he does tend to like Lexus alot in his reviews.
Thanks for the share about Alex on Autos. Haven't watched him before.
I've been watching the Papadakis Racing teardown and rebuild of the B58 in the Supra to get to 1,000 horsepower. That's another excellent YouTuber. If I owned one of these and had issues in the future that the tech diagnosed, it would be so helpful to go back and watch Jason explain what that part does and potentially why it failed over time.

AoA is actually very underrated because he provides extremely useful fact-based information with easy to see comparisons AND you can tell he does his homework as he talks in context and will refer to the car's history or competitor trends to give you an idea of where the car sits in its space. It's extremely useful for potential buyers.
Savagageese provides more artistic review along with great technical info and driving impression and I think a great opinion-maker without the fear of being blacklisted by OEMs and gives honest reviews.
I have actually found my self looking at potential cars on AoA to see lot of great factual information in a well presented format by someone who isn't just reading off a spec sheet (Redline, Saabkyle, etc.) and people who are simply in it for the money or are using a tired style that actually isn't geared mainly for enthusiasts (Doug, click bait POS, etc.)
He's one of the best car youtubers out there, IMO. Absolutely awesome and him and Alex on Autos are two of the channels I watch consistently. You can tell he's not in it mainly for the money but he loves the hobby and he takes time to do a great review instead of getting as videos out as possible each week or do click baity shit and is more than just superficial generic compliments with no real negatives or any interesting opinion (Redline, Raiti, etc.) He deserves alot more subs than he currently has.

I love that savagegeese doesn't sugarcoat his reviews. Plus they just have amazing production quality. On top of that, he will do oddball vehicles just cause as well - I watched his review of the Explorer just cause, despite my extreme indifference towards crossovers.
Of course, I also like watching wacky stuff like Donut Media, Doug DeMuro, and Regular Car Reviews. Just can't take those guys too seriously.

I dont know.. i think Aztec is still uglier. at least Murano Cabrio has some kind of enjoyment being a convertible and a V6...
Aztec is ugly inside and out and no enjoyment and no power...

not what I meant.
