It's likely the kind of person who accepts a 21.5% interest rate is the kind of person who's earned it.
Can you just imagine the depreciation on a new $41k Tiguan too? That deal is almost as bad as CP3's contract. Almost.

Is that even legal? I mean if you have poor credit, then most of the bank will just say No...
They probably will get a better rate from loan sharks... i mean if they could afford 1000 a month payment comfortably *assuming*. Then i dont see why they can just pay cash if they have bad credit....

Probably going to race friends
What happens (or is going to happen) to cars like the $264K S65 Coupe when it gets to 125K miles and people start getting terrified of them breaking? Just crushed? Exported? Stripped for parts?
I saw a thread on Reddit about a 2014 S550 with 194K miles and everyone was like “fuck THAT.”
I have to imagine someone is going to buy it I guess. I just wonder what the market for those cars are once a reputable dealership won’t touch them.

At least the S550 should be fairly reliable, as it seems most modern Benzes are.
My grandmother's '15 S550 is her 7th S-Class (89 420SEL, 95 S420, 01 S430, 05 S430, 07 S550, 14 S550, 15 S550)
The '01 is the only one I recall her having any issues with. A small (expensive) accident & she traded it on the '05 which was trouble-free
The '14 was replaced with the '15 due to flood damage from Hurricane Garvey (water up to at least the top of the center armrest).
I'd be a little leery of a tired W220, but the W221 & newer, or back to the W140/W126 I'd be a bit less concerned with, at least in V8 or diesel, non-AMG configurations.
Quite old now, but my W126 300SD & W123 240D were extremely reliable, at over 300k miles. Both diesels, I5T & I4 N/A respectively.
The W123 had reverse fail & trans replaced, and a heater core problem, no problems on the W126.

The market is already there. Look at all the old Bangle era 7 series models and E60 M5's sitting on buy here pay here lots for next to nothing. There's a sizable part of the market that wants the badge but don't want to or have the money to pay for it, they are the ones who are buying these and always have been.

Tech-laden German luxo-barge, compared to a mass-market Japanese econobox.Pretty sure the only costly thing on a J-series Accord would be the timing belt.
Doom & Costco clearly forgot red text

They're dreary econoboxes for a reason ... that's why I drive a 220k mile Honda Fit 80+ miles a day

Never liked the E65 7-series. Probably my least favorite big-body German sedan of that era.
