That looks like he did it in the US. That's idiotic. I don't care if he's a race car driver. If he had hit someone who was eating yogurt and talking on a cellphone while driving, yelling at their kids and drifted into his lane, that's all she wrote for everyone involved.

some thoughts on the Vettel video - I think it makes sense
Sebastian Vettel probably didn't do 350 km/h on public road with Ferrari F12 Berlinetta [video]

Sebastian Vettel probably didn't do 350 km/h on public road with Ferrari F12 Berlinetta
A video with a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta tuned by PP-Performance doing 350 km/h on public roads in Abu Dhabi and possibly driven by Sebastian Vettel has emerged onto the web.
The video was recorded by German journalist Matthias Malmedie who posted the video on YouTube with the description “Ich liebe #Vettel ! Kaum ist er offiziell bei #Ferrari unter Vertrag, fährt er sich in Abu Dhabi den Frust von der Seele)) #f12”.
Our German isn't that great but he probably said "I love Vettel! As soon as he is officially under contract with Ferrari, he takes his frustration off his soul in Abu Dhabi."
The video showed up online only a few hours after Ferrari announced signing a three-year contract with Sebastian Vettel who is going to replace Fernando Alonso starting next season. Most likely Vettel wasn't behind the wheel as he is still under contract with Red Bull and in case he actually did 350 km/h on public roads, he's smart enough not to allow the video go public.
In addition, PP-Performance uploaded the same video on their Facebook account with the description: "a small exit with the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta tuned by PP-Performance" so it's likely a video recorded by one of the tuner's representatives.

Haha! Yeah, I would love to own one. I've been a huge fan of Mustang, which is a little weird since I'm one of those skinny Asians.
If I get to buy a Mustang, it'll only happen if I get to keep my BRZ.
Fun apples vs Fun oranges.
Oh you had a drag racing background?
Would never have guessed that right. Sorry.

Hmm you have to keep my background in mind which involved lots of drag racing. Where I'm from, it would be pretty customary and not unexpected to have DR's on this car for daily use. And, when quoting a car's performance numbers it is completely legit to quote a number on DR's, especially for high performance cars such as this.
Would never have guessed that right. Sorry.

Ferrari F12 is probably the Ferrari I'd buy today simply because of how ludicrous it is...and the way it sounds makes all my personal bits very excited. Though it makes me very sad that I'll probably never be able to own one.

The cars I like, I don't want to pay for and the money I want to spend is for cars I don't like.

And this is why the car gods are angry with you. You are unwilling to make the sacrifices necessary to obtain greatness.

A fun car that comes with decent amount of all those other stuff is not cheap these days.
I know you value those a lot in your buying decision. So, I don't know man. It will only get harder for you to upgrade if you are not willing to spend more than $40k.
I don't really care about the other stuff so I went with BRZ which is FUN to drive for DDing AND tracking.

to generalize, cars now days have gone up about 10k in price within the last 10 years and it is only going to continue to do so.
a freaking fully loaded TLX cost $46k now and my CL-S was only in the low 30s back then with similar engine and everything else.
So sucks but you just need to accept the fact that cars are 10k more expensive than before and forget about how much they used to cost..... like gas....
