So I was reading comments over on TOV about the ILX and HRV debut, when this ad popped up:

Also... what is officially considered "too close to the sidewall"?

I just had this same thing happen to my front left tire. Tire guy said it had to be one tread in from the outside to get a patch. He ended up plugging it so i could get home (free of charge too, nice guy) and i then swapped the 4 vredestein ultrac sessantas for 4 conti DWS's... The DWS's ride like marshmallows compared to the vreds. I couldn't believe the difference. I know they are entirely different types of tires, night and day difference. They probably handle like crap in comparison, but its my daily, i think i'm good with the comfort upgrade given 20" wheels and 35 series tires.

It all depends on the course. Ive been to plenty where this car would rape a miata every direction there is.

The Euro 4C weighs that. The 'Merican version, naturally, gained 300+ pounds once it hit our shores.

I've read that the Alfa engineers actually prefer the American model as the suspension feels more planted. I want to drive one. Nay, I need to drive one. The CF tub makes me wonder how astronomical the insurance rates are though.

You don't really read the press releases or info posted in Automotive News, huh?

The power/weight ratio of this impressive car has been posted since 2011.

I'm going to get the tire patched tomorrow somewhere. If no one will do it, I'll get winter tires put on the stock wheels and figure everything out in the spring.

So your next car will be a 4C?

Maybe then you'll be forgiven for passing on an M3. Plus, CF doesn't rust!

The days of me in a coupe of that size has departed when I got married and had a kid. Who knows when I have that mid-life crisis at 50 though.

But, yeah...doubt it. Tentatively, once I've had enough of the Sea Horse, I'll be in a sedan of likely...German persuasion.

Mmmm...A7 or 5-Series.

Well of course. A car is a tool and there's a right tool for every job (track). In a very short, tight, technical course where horsepower is not as important as carrying speed through turns, the small light cars win. On a track that's longer where horsepower is important, the high horsepower cars win.

I do, for a few reasons - all because I have an iPhone. (I have this one)

- I like the sound quality of the Z2 better - it has more customizing options
- I like having the microSD slot - so it has 32gb onboard and I have a 32gb card, which I use 95% for music - the cards are super cheap
- I refuse to use itunes, I think its a shit program

so yeah I avoid doing anything music related with my phone. If that makes me old-fashioned, fine.
