Well dur, but for 50-70% speed driving, Ford's done a pretty good job with their FWD. I haven't tracked the car but generally I agree with you that RWD/AWD is better.

That said, I'd rather have torque steer than look at that ... abomination*.

370Z considered a hatch?

It's close at $33K brand-new I think.

Suggestions? Prefer something with low miles at this point. I've also driven relatively huge cars. Camaro and TL, both over 3400 lbs. Pigs for their time.

Nothing heavy when it comes to maintenance. I'd like to be able to fix it with myself with basic knowledge and hand tools and at most, an OBD-II scanner. My friend has a Solus I think, but hell if I remember how to use that.

I'm just being patient & waiting for the 3s with a 6MT, personally. Can't stand the tiny digital tach & want a bit more power than the 3i had.

What did that S5 MSRP for? $45-55k somewhere?

It is 3, almost 4 years old too.

Costco, have you looked at a GTI?

Dunno if I would say that is "cheap". A 2011 was likely out in 2010...so, you're looking at a 4-year old car.

It's a great car...but, still, not "cheap" per se. Maybe that's the cheap in me talkin'.

The GM engine is in the Corvette, Holden's cars, the Camaro...so, some pretty good cars.

Interesting to see Porsche is not on there.

Actually, I was going to suggest saving his monies for 2015 turbo 4 banger stang. Or a gently used 2.0T ATS.
