Congrats on the car and baby, Moose! And future wife-approved NSX .

The dealer sticker thing isn't as big of a thing here, but some glue a badge on. One particularly ballsy dealer used to stamp their name on the trunk, so it wasn't removable.

It is a south east thing, Literally every dealer does it that I have seen. They wanted to put a front license plate bracket on and wash the car, I declined both

They do it here a lot as well. I remember taking it off when we picked up the Acura.

However, the higher class dealers such as my work, Boardwalk, Classic/Dallas BMW put license plate frames on the car. We're also the only ones (tmk) still allowing to sell cars with no front plates at the owners' request.

You guys got any recommendations to take it off? I was going to use goo gone and some floss, I thought I remembered reading something about that before and it working well.

Congrats on the car!

Heat the emblem just a little bit and use the floss. Easy.

Pretty much that. That's how we remove them off the trade-ins at work.

New car looks great! Congrats on the kid, too!!

I always make the dealership remove their stickers before I drive off the lot. I do the badges myself. Floss, a heat gun or hairdryer, and Goof Off/Goo Gone/equivalent will clean that up in no time.

I told my rep at the Ford dealer I was picking up the ST at to not put any dealer decals on the car and do not install the front license plate.

The day the car came in I went to pick it up after work.

There was a dealer sticker on the hatch and the assholes started to drill the two holes for the plate in the front grill. My incompetent rep was able to stop them before they installed anything.

No one listens. Thankfully this is not the Ford dealer I go to if I need service.

Congrats on the Mazda 6! Looks great.

The easiest way to remove the dealer sticker is to use a hair dryer and run the hot air back and forth over the sticker as this will loosen the adhesive. Then simply take your time and peel it away. Use Goo Gone to remove any residual adhesive. Rinse the area with water and don't forget to apply a coat of wax or two.

There is an interesting whistle but I don't believe there's a BOV on these.. It must be dumping some serious pressure to the wastegate

That's the incorrect definition by someone who shall not be named.

Look everyone else on the planet/universe/internet understands a repost is exactly what it is: posted prior in the same forum. Does not matter if it was a "sub-forum".

So, again...no e-love letters to me. I have too many e-mails.

Went to check out the P1 today. Appears I was a month late. Car was only in the showroom for 36 hours before it jumped back on a plane.

Did get to see the new Speciale, though.

I did some reading online, and that right there is the Silver Chassis #001 in Chicago. First F1 ever produced after the prototypes. It is listed as being in Illinois on the F1 official registry and there are some knowledgable people around other car forums stating the same. Cool stuff.

Opening a new collision center in a few days. Very excited. It's one of our biggest yet at right around 23,000 sq feet. This is the 5th store I've been a part of in the last 6 or so years. This location will most likely do the most volume out of our stores with USAA bringing in most of the claims.

I work for Rick Hendrick Motor Sports. Besides Nascar, Hendrick is most known for his dealerships. But in the past 5-6 years we've been doing 'stand alone shops' as we call them. Meaning, not connected to dealerships. They've been doing so well that we keep opening more. I don't really talk about work here. I come here not to work but just wanted to share this with you guys.

I know what you mean about not talking about work.

What do you do in the shop if you don't mind me asking?

I'm the Director of Parts. I order everything in the shop for the location my office is in. When we open a new shop I come in for a few months to get it rolling how it should. I also go around to the other stores and oversee their parts operation to make sure my employees aren't fucking up. Right now I'm sitting in my new office making files for each of our vendors that I'll file invoices into (fun).

Oooo...nice!

Soooooo...Any chance you can...order all the parts for a Pagani Zonda for some of your AZ buddies?

We can put it together somewhere else.
