I have to admit to expecting more especially with how the latest generation of Ford's cars have been looking.

Still, it's not horrid.

We've seen worse from Honda.

Meh, the new Mustang doesn't turn me on like the current one does. I think it would look good if it were BRZ sized.

The only thing that is refreshing is the newly designed indy rear suspension. Hopefully it's not a gimmick. This is the first time it's been put in mass production for the Mustang. The only other time it was available was with the limited Cobra R's.. Live axle be damned.

From what I read on Autoblog, it's the real thing. So much so they had to redo the front suspension too. That might just be Ford marketing nonsense but that's what Autoblog is saying.

It was that gen, not sure if all of them had indy rears, probably optional.. I believe they were interchangeable during assembly (e.g. a gimmick).

^ all "New Edge" (99-04) SVT Mustangs had IRS. People shunned it, which is why they went back to solid rear.

Never been a Mustang fan. This one still doesn't do it for me. Late 60s is the acceptation.

I like the Mustang but I do not like how it resembles an Accord. I wonder what's going on at the Stang boards.

I like the look of both. As long as it handles more like an Accord, I'm sold.

This is definitely a super move for Ford, but I think this a good move for the Mustang as well. We'll see..

yeah, its a bit harsh to say it looks like an Accord. It does have similar lines tho. But I think it looks much nicer than an Accord.

So much is wrong with this statement.

A coupe looks like a coupe?!?!?

What has the world come to?!?!?!?

What's next an SUV looks like an SUV?!?!?

I've circled the parts that look specifically similar - these are deliberate lines, curves, and cues, they are not just "the features of a coupe"

That rear up-swooping 3/4 window thing is a new design cue of many cars, ie C7. It's not copying the Accord or Vette, it's a design trend people. I happen to think the new 'Stang design is pretty sweet.

...but Srika posted circles on the pics, so that makes them almost identical.

The circled items are common on all types of coupes and cars.

Angled headlamps?!?!?! That's gotta be a Honda only design.

The rear is quite different.

The coupe greenhouse with a upward sloped rear window.....clearly Honda specific.
