SHOOFIN, thanks for the tips, that's all good advice.
That white van is good for comparison, half the miles is nothing to sneeze at, and the hi-top vans I assume go for more, because they sure as heck must cost more to build. I do like the sleek look of that black one though, plus it has at least the potential to fit in my garage...

FWIW

I might be taking in a 2007 Lexus LS460 White/Black with about 57k miles on it. I didn't see it yet, hopefully will check it out this week. Dude wants to trade it in for a 2010 LS460.

Shoofin, do you ever see any hot hatches (Mazdaspeed3, etc) on the block? A friend of mine is interested in one and I wonder how much they go for at auctions.

I was looking for one back when Shoof helped me out. Mazdaspeed3s go for retarded money on the block. A 2007 with 48k miles and an undiagnosed check engine light went for $16k IIRC.

He's better off finding someone through a private sale looking to sell a Speed3.

Depending on options, miles, condition, etc...somewhere in the low to mid to upper $20k ballpark..

You can't compare the SMG to the dual clutch on this car...it's like night and day. I didn't like the SMG much..

Auction price sounds about right based upon what retail seems to be going for (high 20s).

....By the way....The '01 Maxima 5speed is finally back...The one that started this whole frikkin thread! You can see it in the rear quarter M3 pic above, it's in my lot close to the fence. I gotta clean her up a bit and i'll take some better pics soon..

After rebuilding the original computer 3x and realizing that it's fried, then getting another computer and rebuilding it 2x to realize it was worse than the original computer, we ordered a 3rd computer directly through Nissan and it's FINALLY fixed. Part of the delay is also the things you gotta do to save some money...which is have my friend work on it so I can save some money at the expense of him working on it when it's convenient for him...There were times that it went weeks w/o being worked on or touched...

Car runs quite good now!!

So who's interested?

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan

My brother in law (works for me) called me late last night, said someone blew a light and he couldn't stop in time, he was driving one of my work cars:

Airbag deployed...

He was using this car because 2 weeks ago he was driving his car on a snowy day, hit some black ice, lost control and slammed into a wall on the highway, his car is at the bodyshop still being fixed too. I'm running out of cars to give him

Hopefully the other party had insurance to cover the car. In case the car is a total loss, will the insurance pay full retail price for the car ? If so, it should more than cover the price the car was bought/traded in for.

It's a 2007 V6 XLT 4WD with 35k miles on it. I paid out of my ass for it. I can't believe these cars are going for 1-2k above wholesale. I had to suck it up and pay up for this thing. Oh well. I bought it for someone, so it is pretty much sold. I showed it to the father, he liked it, now we have to show it to the daughter and hope the little princess is going to like it too.

Just took this pic of my Sentra from the bodyshop:

I honestly hate the car so this doesn't bother me much (it's a lease that's up in a few months), but to deal with the insurance company is what's going to be the pain

What happens if the customer doesn't like the car that you delivered from the auction? Do you just take it back the next week?

Why not take a customer with you to the auction?

Always looking to upgrade my TL is near 80K miles and I'm looking at either a Type-S or give BMW a try A promotion at work helped me get a little more $$$.

I hate going over 100K on my cars. The TL is a fricken awesome car though!

Say, you would be interested in a NBP 6MT??

A few just sold recently at the Jersey auction for 25K. One was actually 28 but it was newer. Looking around it looks like the run between 25-30k for a clean car with around 30k miles and a few options.
