I looked at a couple Altima coupes but the build quality seemed to be a little off on them. Seemed to have more gaps than say the Toyota offering or Honda that I test drove that day. I liked the overall design though.

I edited both posts to shrink the pics and accidentally attached the Chevy pic as the Altima pic

Today's auction was ehh...Prices were very high, and I didn't see anything that I had any interest in buying (at the right price). I sold 1 car on the block, and I sold another car outside the auction (so I'm not paying auction fees).

Few cars that caught my eye:
2006 SSR with 5k miles in pristine condition (it hasn't even seen rain!)

It went for as much as $26,500 but the seller was looking for more money.

Also saw this:

It's a 1994 with I think 70k miles if I remember. This time I was looking for the stick and noticed it was an automatic, so I didn't have any interest in it. It wasn't the cleanest looking car either, and it had a salvaged title. Bidding went up to about $11,500, but if I heard the auctioneer right, the seller wanted $15k for it.

I also attempted to bid on either of the 2 Mazda Tributes in the pic above that you see in the background, but they sold for a LOT more than I wanted to pay..

In it's defense, It did need a little work...I had to straighten out 2 bent wheels, one tire was bad, it needed a new cat and the flex pipe had a hole in it, so I did have to put a few bucks into it to make the car 100% roadworthy...

Picked this up off lease, it's a 2007 EX Cloth with 14k miles on it:

Had to spray the bumpers because of the usual NY parking nicks and scratches...Need to pop out a few dings, clean up/touch up a few small scratches, detail it (it's pretty dirty in these pics) and she's ready to sell...

This is the second Altima I bought, also a 2006 with about 33k miles on it. I had to spray the front and rear bumpers from scratches due to parking, and the driver's side rear quarter had a dent that couldn't be popped out and I had to also spray as a result.

Rough idea, depending on color/condition/options/miles, anywhere in the $20k-$25k ballpark, approx..

Anything's possible, it all depends on what I find, of course the most important factor being condition and mileage..What do you have in mind?

New or used G37s? 2 or 4 door?

Tell me about your TSX and I'll see what I can do. Leasing or owning it?

maybe a 01+ gs?

I test drove a 01 gs300 and it it a ton nicer than my es. It had 80k and needed a timing belt/trans service and needed to be cleaned inside and out badly. They wanted 9700 and i offered 8100. I decided to keep my old heap, but for the right price and car, you never know.

That is a great move you did there for your friend Shoofin!

Two little questions: How much did that Odyssey go for? I'm trying to figure out what dealers would give me for an 08 EX-L with no RES or NAV with 17k miles on it.

My other little question was what are Porsche 911 Carrera S models going for at auction?( 05-08, stick, coupe or cab)

Thanks!

I would need to know a little more about it, but I want to say that I would probably offer you $24-$25k for it, approximately. I'll buy it from you if you have any interest in getting out of it. Once I'm done cleaning up my Odyssey, I want to say that i'll probably sell it for somewhere in the $20k to $21k range, once I finish conditioning the body and making sure it doesn't need any mechanical work (brakes, etc...)

As for the Porsche's, I have to look around a bit for one, believe it or not they are pretty tough to get, even in the auctions. For an older one with higher miles can go from anywhere from about $40k to close to $70k for an 07 or 08 with lower miles...Tough to give a precise number on a Porsche...But I do see about 24 of them in auctions across the country from 05 to 08 in coupe or cab "S" models.

To wet your tongue:

2008 C2S with 5600 miles on it, 6sp manual... $67,500, approx. It's a FL car.

2008 C2S with 450 miles on it, 6sp manual... $68,000, approx. It's a GA car

06 C2S Cab (White/Blue) 21k miles, about $57k, it's also an FL car

The cars I posted are listed to be original paint/no accidents and are stated to be in pristine condition, FYI. I can look up the history of them as well, but no point in doing that this moment..

PM me your email address and I can send you a bunch more tomorrow when I'm at work..

07 Type S I want to guess probably around $24k-$26k depending on options/miles/color/condition, could be more or less..

I bet I can probably sell you one for no more than $26k for something with between 25k-35k miles on it, but would have to look into it some more to confirm. Let me know if interested.

Not many in the auctions in an '01. I saw two of them, both had over 100k miles (113-123k miles) and it showed average wholesale pricing to be in the $8k ballpark

This car is in Oklahoma. 14k miles, has navigation.

They want good money for this, but I can probably pick it up to sell for $27k-$27,500 approx, mostly because of the low miles and the fact that it also has navigation...Then I need to figure out how much it's going to cost to ship too...

this thread is awesome. its not every day that we get to look at the behind the scenes action of a car dealer. its insane the types of markups down here in GA.

how do you know where the cars come from? do u have the ability to look at a cars history or something?
