Comptech Returns

Maybe this is old news (I searched the forums to ensure I didn't repeat a thread)

Not really news... We had a thread about it last June:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...light=comptech

Kinda interesting that your first post was about this...

Isn't this CompTech's actual web site?

I'm afraid that you couldn't be more wrong. Yes, I admit that I'm very new here. That's because I will (within the next few weeks) purchase a 2003 Acura 3.2 CL Type S. I hadn't really considered buying a CL until a few weeks ago. Before then I was almost fully committed to buying a used Nissan Maxima with a MT and the 3.5L VQ V6 engine. In general, I was in the market for a used car with a V6 (or V8) engine and a manual transmission. I happened to remember that the CL met my criteria. I test drove one just over two weeks ago and I loved it. The handling and acceleration were great. I held off on purchasing it from the small independent dealer (thankfully). That's because for the same price, I found an owner who is selling his. The car is the color that I want, has all of the features that I want and had very low mileage (30K). I looked it over and test drove it a just a week ago and now I have a tentative agreement to purchase this car. Here are some pics

I have been visiting this forum for the last couple of weeks. I was trying to get some information regarding some modifications I can do the vehicle to increase its horsepower. I read a lot regarding Comptech products (particularly the exhaust header) but I was disappointed to find out that a) their supposed website, www.comtechpusa.com, is under construction and b) that I read here and elsewhere that they had gone out of business. With enough googling around I found their myspace page and subsequently their website. Now I can at least email them for some dyno charts for some of their products that Im interested in (I still haven't received a reply from them). I couldn't find any threads in this forum stating that they were back in business. I didn't know if other people were still wondering as I was so I posted the thread. No good deed goes unpunished I guess

See, this is the reason why I posted the tread. I found it awkward that a company that relies on its website for business had the "Site Under Construction" sign.

Comptech was split.

The parts division was sold off and is now under CT Engineering. THe race motor division is still Comptech. This is what I found out after I spoke with someone at both Comptech and CT Engineering last week.
