civicdrivr's Z3 thread
Thank you good sir
I had the suspension ordered before I got the car. 5342 miles later, its almost here!
Not yet. Since I came back from the Nat'l meet I've had 2 days off from work. The next day that I have scheduled off is July 28th and 29th.
IIRC there is an HPDE at VIR in October, but I need to get out to some autox in the mean time. Im not really trying to compete, I just want to run and have fun.

I can't wait to see your car lowered...seriously. I have always used inches to measure etc...but once you start learning offsets and using spacers, you're better off switching to metric. Plus, I used to spend time in Europe and EVERYTHING is KG and KM etc...so it's not really that foreign to me. I would assume if you're getting a full bodied it's the equivalent to the FF's/Megans for the Acuras?
NSXNEXT nicely done...with as much as "kingkong_dav" (he's gotten better but check any thread where RV6 is mentioned) and "EAC" (the RV6 True Dual thread...if you read through that one, you'll likely ban him) have gotten away with, I was worried the mods were taking a vacation!
Morgan, you're really making me want to go test drive this thing. How easy is it to kick out and go sideways?! Or does the RWD platform need a little more of a torque kick to make that happen? I had an 87 Corolla...RWD and Carburated...MAN, in the rain, I'd pop it back into 1st on turns and have a friggin BALL!
Ahh...memories!

I have no problem converting mm -> inches or km -> miles in my head, but I cant convert kg to lbs to save my life
On the stock tires its incredibly easy to get sideways when its dry. When its wet, its more unpredictable, which is why I wanted new tires asap. Unfortunately with the tires Im running now, I can only get the back out when its wet. The Star Specs are way too grippy for the motor, which only gives me a bigger reason to make more power

I actually lol'd at that. And to answer your question, 101, just to make sure the digital speedo could read triple digits

In other news, WHAT THE FUCK:

That was 2:30pm this afternoon on my way to work (and the work streak continues
). Thats not accounting for the ridiculous humidity.
Yeah it's been hot as fawk here too. I think it's been a week straight of highs over 100
Have you thought about getting a custom plate? Maybe just saying #(whatever number car you have)

It honestly took me a minute to realize what you were talking about
The CL/TL 6MT has a 3.26:1 final drive while this has a 4.1:1 fd. And Im toying with the idea of getting a 4.3:1 rear end.
Yea, the Nurburgring Kit (aka GTS in Australia) is pretty nice minus the spoiler.
My CL is right at 3k at 80. Doesnt matter though, shockingly both can pull about the same highway mileage @80, the CL may even edge it out

"Customers are already ponying up an average of $29,085 for each BRZ model sold. Compare that to the $25,653 average transaction price for the virtually-identical Scion FR-S, and you can see why Subaru offered a $400 incentive on the BRZ in June."
I do not see that being a sustainable sales price model for Subaru.
