Just for clarity, I'm running the BMW plate bracket - it looks like this:
Basically, two screws attach it to the bumper (I'm using different hardware there with some well nuts for a more secure fit), and then the plate attaches to the bracket with (what I'm assuming) are some zinc coated security screws.
Typically, the plate would just be screwed into the bumper with some self tapping screws.

Sold!!
Yeah...I still had the FRS tucked away in the garage, paying the yearly personal property taxes this whole time. But I brought it back to mostly stock and sold it to the same guy that bought my CL back in 2013. I'm happy to free up the garage space. Next steps - sell all the aftermarket parts I have laying around for the damn thing.
In Golf R news, I got the windshield tinted with Llumar Air 80 - it's an 80% ceramic with a very slight blue hue to it. It's just enough to cut the heat in the interior, so I'm pretty happy with it. The photo is pointless though because it's nearly impossible to tell it's got a film on it, but here you go anyway:
And while I was on my tint kick, I picked up some titanium tint from Home Depot for the garage door. The sun is at the front of the house in the afternoon, so it gets hot in there. This stuff made a surprising difference.
Left is tinted, the right is untinted:
Right tinted, left untinted:
Shiny tint isn't my thing, but this stuff works, so I'll live with it. I also like that it makes it a bit more difficult to look inside.

Btw - I'm really surprised by how much heat that tint rejects. I don't have hard data but I can keep the garage door closed on a sunny 90° day and work comfortably in there. I still need to install a fan for some air movement, but the garage will be undergoing some "renovations" over the next month or so. I can't wait till it's done

I don't own the machine so I do too...
but I usually dismount and drive the wheels and tires to my guy.
I do as much as I can.
Morgan(ie if you're Anil)...
My back sliding doors at my townhouse used to have it...when the sun was hitting them you could open the door and it was intolerable how hot it felt...
slide it closed and cool as fuck.
