Really love those seats and that interior! Nice choice and congrats!
I don't know why but I really love that exhaust button decal. Would be really cool as a tattoo or shirt or something.

Just got back from a 200 mile cruise, gotta get those miles on . . . .
Impressions: need to take some air out of the tires (rears: 49/fronts: 41) over big expansion joints on the NYS Thruway, it's pretty harsh in Normal mode. Car cruises quiet enough and will be more than suitable for a long drive like Montreal in June for the Canadian GP (6 hours). I averaged 27.2 mpg doing 75 on the highway and 62 on a county highway with lots of hills (Rte. 20). Seems like there's bottomless torque, in 7th I punched it to pass and did so with ease. It's not quick in 7th but impressive nonetheless. At no time did I feel like the car was loud or obtrusive and if I had someone with me, a conversation could be had easily in normal tones. The Sport Exhaust and auto blip are way cool sounding and to use. I turned off the SE on the highway but even with it on, it's only mildly present it seemed. I have the 4 way Sports Plus seats which for a guy that's 6'1" and 240# they are quite comfortable.
Base Audio: The bass is a little weak but it's not a bad system at all. Put it this way, it serves its purpose well enough. Navigating around between XM and CarPlay is going to take some practice, ditto the PCM menus.
Overall I'm extremely pleased with this car, ecstatic actually. Tomorrow off to the Glen to watch some racing, gonna be a great weekend!

Skimming back thru this thread and it looks like you initially put a deposit down in Aug 2021? So like 16 months from deposit to allocation?
Did the switch to 992.2 and then from S to T delay the allocation?
This thread is giving me ideas to be irresponsible and use some of my current savings and savings while I wait to get a Cayman
I would probably do something like this https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PR7K71J7

$1000 deposit down 8/21 on an initial order for a Carrera S. I waited for an allocation and never got it but 10/18-ish the T debuted which ticked all my wish list boxes, namely a 7MT, PTV, & Mechanical slip diff. I requested a change to a T and got the allocation 2 months later. 718 looks nice! Order now if you want it.

Thanks everyone for putting up with this thread for nearly 3 years. It's been quite the journey, mostly good and filled with a ton of anticipation, anxiety and uncertainty. In the end it was all worth it. I look and see a 911 in my driveway and just can't believe it.

Welp, I'm at 1200+ miles so redline is available. Got the car ("Gordie" after my late uncle) tech inspected today-a necessity before going to the HPDE event at the Glen 5/29-30th. Tire tread depth, brake pad/lines/rotors checked for wear, etc. all checked and obviously good to go as it's only 11 days old. I can't tell you how fun this car is. Accelerating on a on ramp Saturday morning I just kept pushing the pedal down farther and farther. We were doing 75 on a ramp that was basically a continuous circle of 180 degree and the car felt rock solid never putting a foot wrong. My buddy was in the passenger seat "Holyyyyyyyyy SHIT!" was all he could say. I can't wait to get closer to this car's performance boundaries as I get more and more experienced. A fellow Rennlister posted up a montage of Carrera T's on Youtube. I'm in at :49-0:58

Congratulations! Enjoy it! As all have said: great interior choice! Upgrading the interior like you did makes a lot of sense to me in a car like that, it really gives a more up marker rich feel inside. The 992 base interior, did step up from the 991 gen though…
I didn’t know you can’t disable the auto blip in the 992, that’s a bit of a bummer. Mine only comes on when I’m in “sport” mode, but I have a 991.2. Personally I find the Porsche harder to heal n toe than the TL-S I have, but regardless, I like to be in full control when ruining my clutch.
congratulations again!

I can cancel auto-blip easily; it defaults to off unless I put the drive mode in sport or sport plus. I am a die-hard heel & toe guy but the auto blip is so flipping perfect, it seems a waste not to utilize it.

forgive the ignorance but what does sport plus do in the manual? In the PDK it’s more aggressive gear selection wise, but I don’t know what it does in the manual over the Sport mode.
You will have a blast at the HPDE!

The stock front fascia has motorized covers that open/close depending on the car's cooling needs; the Sport Design front fascia does not have that feature. Instead it's constantly unprotected and open exposing the radiators to stones, leaves, and road debris to bust open $3K radiators and render them useless. The solution are these Zunsport Grille Covers
