This car look alright? (Prelude)

My brother is car shopping. Thinking about checking this out. Thoughts?

This is a gently driven prelude Si. It only has 88,xxx original mileage. It is amazingly fast for a tiny car and drives wonderfully. I have carfax available, and majority of the service records (not ALL). The front tires are only 2 months old, and the back tires are about 8 months old. The overall condition is good, but it does have a few dings on the body from everyday driving.

This car would be an excellent choice for a commuter to save gas and not worry about racking up the mileage.

Please email me to see the car, and mornings usually work better for me. Asking $5400, which is already more than $600 under KBB value for good condition and at the price of KBB value for fair condition.

Couldn't hurt to look. I'm guessing the price range is around $5k? If it drives well and the engine looks clean, it's not a bad deal.

Yeah, trying to stay around/under 5k. He's a student, just needs a real basic car, nothing fancy. Only needs to last him a couple years at most, and he will not be tuning it or anything.

What is this one?
4th gen

Asking price seem a little much, but the mileage is low. at 88k....need to find out if the timing belt/water pump was done yet or not...cause at 90k it will HAVE to get to done.

I'd be a little bit weary because of he first describes the car as "gently driven", and soon after he says "It is amazingly fast for a tiny car". But you never know.

Yeah I thought that was a bit odd too, but so long as it is in good shape, whatever....

I've had two 4th gen Prelude VTEC's and they are truly amazing cars. The styling was just awesome in the early-mid nineties....
