Bought another 5 series
So after having a 2001 530 with a blown engine for awhile and not finding a motor for what I wanted, I finally sold it when I had no where to put it. Now I decided to get another one.
1500 miles, a few hundred dead bugs and one dead battery later, shes finally home.
Some pics pre wash:
Some crummy pictures after a quick wash:
Its a 2000 M5 with 103k miles. Car is in great shape inside and out. Having only had the car 2 days I'm still getting used to it, but all I have to say is OMFG TORQUE!!!11!!1!!! Doesn't matter what gear you're in or at what speed, tap the gas and the car moves. The suspension is stiff but the car handles amazingly. The interior is awesome. Pretty much everything is either wrapped in leather or is covered in alcantara. Can't wait to drive it some more.

Congrats dude! Wow, white on top of that I don't think I've seen a white E39 M5 for the time I've been on the m5board so far; it's not a common color for the E39. Enjoy her in the best of health, I miss mine

Mmmmmmmm what a beaut! I absolutely love that gen M5. I drooled all over the Car and Driver mag when it came out. White looks killer, too. Congrats and enjoy that beast!

Nice E39 M5! I won't worry about the miles, my brother has had five BMW's (three 3's, one 5, and a 1988 M6), the motors in general were very solid. Electrics and accessories were more the problem area's.
I worked at starup where there were two E39 M5's, both owners said they're a handful in the snow/ice even with ABS/stability/traction and A/S tires. So be careful in winter weather.
Looks great in white.

congrats dude! I have to admit, I thought it was a new 5-series thread..... who knew it was an E39 M5! Didn't find out until that other thread in ramblings. One of my faves, and a great, rare color. I always wanted one in white too.... nice pick up.

Thanks everyone
Whats up Chirag. Haven't talked in awhile. We should meet up one of these days. I wanna check out that Benz.
Yeah. Its kind of ridiculous how much leather there is in the interior.
Thanks. Alpine white on Black is ridiculously hard to find on E39 M5s. I got real lucky in finding this car. Ben Liaw of Rogue Engineering just sold his AW 2001 M5 but he wanted way too much money. It did have a Black interior with factory Hurricane Alcantara inserts though which technically didn't exist.
