BMW 7 series sidemarkers installed (pics)

I've had these in the garage for a while so I decided to take the Dremel to my quarter panels. Let me tell you, this was the most stressful project I've ever done on my car. Cut too much and I'm searching junkyards for body panels.

The sidemarkers require two cuts since they are so long. One for the bulb and one at the front to hold the tip of it against the body.

Wiring was a snap, a few inline splices and whalla....sidemarkers. I need to find some bulbs that blink amber but look silver.

This is what I did yesterday. Since the weather was shitty, I figured I could get it done.

I must have measured them 10 times before I finally put the dremel to the sheetmetal. Believe me, my hands were shaking as I was doing it. My worst fear was that I would put one on backwards.

I'm going to add a waterproof switch, hidden in the wheel well so I can switch to having them on only when the blinkers are on, to having them on when the parking lights are on. That way I can switch when I feel like it. All I'll have to do is reach up into the wheel well and switch it.
