Anyone With Aftermarket wheels:
Ive got some 18's ive had on for about a year now. The tires I have on there now are 225/40/18's.....Continential ContiExtremeContact...
Anyway, this is the second time this has happened, but the sidewall is splitting on the outside. (it looks like someone slashed my tire) But I know its a tire defect because its all the way around the outside of the tire 360....
Has anyone else had this problem? Am I riding on not enough psi? Anyone have any good reckomendations for some new 18" rubbers I could get??

those tire are some of the best tires you can get. may dad put conti's on his 03 TLS before he sold it and the stuck better then stock and really hauled ass. he never had a problem with them.
Conti. is owned my General- I have seen more continental and general seperation and defective tires then any other manufacturer, and by a large margin. Stay clear of these tires, caveat emptor!
AS3.0CL you may want to get more, the conti's performance is fair at best.

wait...your telling me that conti's have the most seperation and faults than any other tire but then yout telling AS3.0CL to get more conti's because their performance is good?
Could my sidewall seperation be because im a few PSI lower than i should be, therefor the sidewall gets hot and seperates?
I check my PSI like once a month

I ment to say you may want to get OUT more, that was a typo on my part- sorry for the misunderstanding.
PSI probably had little to do with the seperation, the tires just seem to come apart as they age.
