The SR20DET is the 2.0Litre engine that go in the Japanese 240SX version known as the Sylvia. There is the S13, S14, and S15 models. Go to this link for more info on engine specs. http://www.sr20detinfo.com/

The stock motor is pretty weak though. You'd definitely want to upgrade to the JDM engine.

Just find a low mileage 95>98 and strap a turbo kit on there. Make sure it's a 5 speed & enjoy. SE's are nicer due to the additional body moldings, rims & fogs...LE is a little nicer inside, lots of dealers used the LE gimmick to add leather interiors/sunroofs. Stereo in the SE is BOSE...puts out a good thump.
I had a 95 SE and a 98 SE, my girl had a 98 LE. The 240 was one of my all time favorite drivers cars...no question about it.
That's not even a 98 model 240sx. Nissan never made convertibles with the newer 240sx models.. That car in the picture above got to be around 92- 94 240sx convertible.
Newer ones look totally different from that!!

SR20DE is the Infiniti G20 motor. SR20DET is the turbo version.
My buddy has a 1990 Nissan 240SX with the SR20DET engine. That thing hauls major ass. Low 12's on street tires. Sick.
