Yep. He's a FAST driver for sure.

This is the S2K Challenge results for their events:

2013 Subaru BRZ Kimchi Edition-l92nckj.jpg

I did 2:09 at Buttonwillow. That was my second time ever and first time with the coilovers. I think I can get it down to 2:06-07. Seems like that can make things pretty competitive.

I've seen that before! I think that driver is Mike Kang @ CSG. He's one of the fastest guys at 86CUP.

The pictures in this review are amazing. I love them. Pretty cool review to read too.

As cool as the Ford may be these days, I'd still prefer the BRZ...

Yeah, I had a tuned Mazdaspeed3 for three years. I know how fast and practical the hot hatches can be.

It was like three times faster than my BRZ is, but my BRZ is like 1000 times more fun to drive than MS3.

By the way, Jackson Racing and Church Tuning in LA are doing a FRS/BRZ dyno day. I'll be participating. Just want to see how low my numbers actually are. Only $40.

It'll be great to check out other systems including Supercharger and Turbocharger on a same day.

Don't take the #s too seriously as you did not have a baseline to compare when it was 100% stock. whether the # is 150 or 190. It does not really matter.

What matters is see the difference between your # and other cars with mods that you will get in the future, so you know the real gains.

I don't. I just want to have one for fun. My engine is pretty much stock.

My engine mods are: K&N drop-in filter and a track pipe. I'm sure they don't do shit anyway.

It's still pretty much a baseline for me.

This is exactly the reason why I'm doing this dyno day. There will be at least 20 FRS/BRZ with different mod combos including JRSC and several turbocharged ones.

It'll definitely boost my motivation to shop more stuff with $100 in the future, like a JR Supercharger.

Surely, you negotiated 8 runs for $100.

Does the cost include ECU calibrations between pulls? Or is it strictly 3 dyno pulls to see what the highest reading is?

haha I negotiate everything, EVERYTHING!!

This is what they have stated in the thread:

What is a dyno day? It's an open-house event where we offer discounted baseline dyno runs. No tuning is done on a dyno day as we want to keep the cars moving so everyone who wants to run gets a chance. Any and all FR-S/BRZ's are welcome to attend.

How it works: Dyno days are run on a first come basis. When you arrive, you'll want to come to the registration booth and register. We'll give you a dyno waiver sheet that you sign and fill out your name/car info; this will also have your run number on it. You will hang onto the sheet until your number is up. When you pull in, you will hand the sheet to the dyno operator who will put all of the info into the computer so that your runs are saved under your name.

Meh, they said unfortunately they can't do it. They are keeping it only FRS/BRZ for that day to dyno as many as possible to compare different set-up.

If you own a 86, you MUST take it to the track.

Please. Try it once at least. No need to prep. Just go.

Didn't even bother to check the laptimes today. It was way too hot. All sessions were like 100 degrees even though it was a twilight day.

SO MUCH FUN NONETHELESS.

Got it for $30.

I kinda broke my OEM shift knob at the track while downshifting hard. The top part was rotating a little bit after that incident. This happened after I bought this shift knob off the forum. haha

Anyway, looks and feels good for $30! I think this is like $110 brand new.

R stands for Rice.
