I don't want more power, just want the sound. haha

I'll add more power when I hit 2:06 at Buttonwillow with my current set up. That's my goal.

what you mean you dont want more power... everyone wants more power!!

More power also means faster in the straight, which will translate to lower time.

The resent pic you posted in the post your rides section looks great! Love the ride height and wheel choice. Plus the white with alloy gray is such a classic combo.
I'm sure you break all the necks.

i assume you do not live in LA right?

It takes A LOT i mean A LOT to "break all the necks" here especially in the area where we live.

I live in Santa Clarita. Pretty close to LA but maybe the slight distance is enough because all I see locally are stock FRS with rotas or plastidipped wheels and badges. A lot of poorly modded muscle cars and the occasional stanced guy. But tastefully modded cars I can walk up to and be like "Dude check out those ::names reputable wheel brand:: looks great with that drop..." are few and faaaaaar between.

I was just saying this car is sick and is the meaning of "less is more". I am getting tired of seeing all the crazy rocket bunny and aimgain kits. Dont get me wrong those definitely break necks but I like a simpler build sometimes.

come down to 626.

Brand new BMWs are 2nd class citizen here... even in High School.

Modified cars do not turn head anymore like in the early 2000s. they are more for self-fulfillment.
Why modify cars when you can buy Lambos, Ferrari and Astons... If the cars do not cost over $100k, they are considered entry level and the drivers are usually your age or even younger, i am guessing.
Not exaggerating one bit.

The struggle is real!!!

Because I want to improve my driving skills before getting more power.

I can't even properly put down 170whp in the turns. No point in adding more. haha

Thanks. A lot of people have been telling me to stay with the silver wheels saying the same thing. Maybe I should. haha

It doesn't really break all the necks, but I do get crapload of thumbs up and compliments pretty much everyday. Ricers don't really bother me much. I think ricers think my car is like super fast, but it's not. haha It just looks pretty fast.

So that guy who's giving me the Borla catback just came by my work to drop it off.

The quality of this thing is way better than Tsudo one. haha

Can't wait to install this one. It should be much louder.

haha I think the stock exhaust can be had for like $80. So I got it for $80 pretty much.

It comes as several pieces, so it should be easy to install and no gaskets needed.

It's going to sound like this:

WOW!!!! Amazing work!!! keep it up man. The car is going to sound awesome! I'm itchin on dropping an exhaust system to the wifes Optima. The only one worth wild is the ARK exhaust system. That system looks pretty easy to install. The alignment of those pieces would be the hardest part of the install, other wise straight forward. Post up pics/videos!

Only if someone swap their nice uel header for my stock one? Bahaha

Installation is super easy for the boxer engine. No problem in stocking out for smog in the future.

I do want the header+tune in the future for sure.

Extra 30whp/wtq is huge for this car. Haha I did a ride along and it was completely different.

yeah, with these cars being as light as they get, 30whp will make worlds of difference...

am eager to see what you get next...I know couple local folks who recently install Crossworth SC and are absolutely loving the car...I need to go on a ride along (or better yet drive it)

Yeah, it does make a substantial difference in acceleration.

I've done a ride along at the track in a Greddy turbocharged BRZ... it was literally flying around the track. The car is FAST with the right goodies.

Thanks. Yeah, I can tell the quality difference right when I first got it. I mean Tsudo is like $400 new and Borla is $750.

Super excited!

I'm thinking of getting rid of my side markers. A lot of people are buying the aftermarket clear or smoked ones for the replacement. But I would like to just remove it. Some people take out the bulb and paint theirs like this:

What do you guys think?

This is mine:

since you have a monochromatic theme going on, why not black em out

unless you want to add some contrast, then keep em as is and get brighter bulbs/LED's in there

I feel like black would look bad as it would then just be a black spot on the side of the car.

Me personally Id go clear, color matched, or stock before blacked out.

A very very light smoke however wouldnt look bad just to tint the amber a little and make it look more aggressive.

on my black G35, i took out the bulb and painted the whole thing black.

I actually came up with an idea in 2003 for my G35 but never got around to do it before it was totaled.

You can ask the bodyshop to do 1 or 2 thin lay of paint (white in your case), so at day time it will be somewhat blended in and at night it will still light up for safety reasons.

About the sidemarker, just like usdmJON mentioned, black sidemarker on white BRZ stands like something is missing in that section of the fender.

Oranges are trash anyway, paint em white.
If you don't like it, buy the clear ones from ft86speedfactory. It's on sale.

I was heading towards Borla CB once, did lot of search too but for some reason that I don't remember, I took a step back.
Let me know if it drones on highway please.

Dude you have been hitting the track so much and you still have stock trans/diff fluid in there? It becomes day and night difference with Motul.

Car is looking good. Yes rear end needed a bit low, and now with Borla, it might need more. Do eet

Seems like a good plan^

1. Paint markers white.
2. If they look bad go buy clear ones.
