2004 A4 Window Malfunction

Went with a friend of mine to a local tint shop to pick up his car.
I have had three of my cars done at this shop and have refered numerous friends there as well with no problems at all.

PROBLEM: So, as we were picking up his car, a 2004 A4 (just like 's), we find that his front driver side window will not go down from inside the car. All of the other windows were working just fine, and we could even roll the window down using the key in the lock from outside the door. It was just the button from the inside of the car that we could not get to work for us.

Now I feel bad because my friend is absolutly maticulous about his car and I refered this shop cause they have always done really good work in the past.

What could be the problem if the rest of the windows work, but the driver window does not? Short? Blown Fuse (althoguh we could not find any)? If too much of the liquid used in the tinting process dripped down into the door, would that cause problems for the window function?
Remember, we CAN roll the window down putting the key in the lock and holding it in the Unlock position, but the button function from inside the car will not work..

Any ideas?

Never heard that happening. I have heard the window regulators blowing out but that doesnt seem to be the case with you guys.

Just take it to the dealer and let them figure it out.

In order to properly tint a window that is in a framed door, you have to roll the window down slightly to place the film all the way at the top....this discovery occured when the installer realized he couldn't roll the window back up.
So, it was actually the installer....that's "who the fuck" rolls the window down....

Ziebarts in DT Mpls.

I've had four of my cars done there and have refered 4 or 5 of my friends there as well, all with excellent outcomes. I'm a little disappointed now to say the least.
After watching them do the last window and seeing how much liquid makes its way into the door during the tinting process, I would not be surprised if that somehow fucked it up....

I stand corrected, but you have to understand where we were coming from, the part where you are not susposed to roll your window down when you get it back from the tint shop.
