AEM Cold Air Intake Polished 3GTL 04-08 Base/Type-S

My AEM cold air intake is up for sale. This fits all 2004-2008 TLs base and TL-S models included. Hands down, this is the very best mod I have ever done on my car in terms of value (money spent/return in performance) I know many people say that intakes don't do much but I have taken this intake off and back on again as well as drive stock cars and there is a DEFINITE improvement noted. Not to mention the car sounds SO much better with that growl when the VTEC kicks in!

I drove 2.5 yrs with this intake without a single problem. The intake has a few scratches and scuffs from normal use as depicted. I have tried cleaning some of the black scuffs and they are just from some tape that rubbed against it. All blemishes are on the underside or other areas that are NOT visible with the intake assembled as depicted in the last picture. And of course none of this affect the function of the intake whatsoever. But it reflects why I am pricing the intake so low. I just want to be honest about the cosmetic condition. It looks good overall.

I am selling this intake because I upgraded to a V2. Most of the hardware is brand new, including the hoses. I reused most of my old hardware. The filter is in good condition. The silicone coupler was cut 1". This was done in order to fit the P2R Throttle Body Spacer, so if you have one, it will be a PERFECT fit. If you don't have one, don't worry it will not affect the function of the part whatsoever. There IS one piece missing and that is the rubber vibramount that is essential to the lower mount. If you need that part I can direct you to where you can buy the very inexpensive part. I will also be including the installation manual as well as the original box.

I am asking $120 picked up for the intake. At this point I am giving first choice to locals and don't want to ship. I am located near Danbury, CT. I will deliver to you for $25 if you are within a selected area of the New York area, please PM me for details about that. Thanks.

Do you notice much of a difference with the v2?

Ron, I am sorry. I misunderstood. I was thinking that we can only bump 2 threads to page 1 at a time. Please don't close the other threads just yet. I will figure what I need to do with them and ask that you close them soon.

Myron I will PM you.

Murdoch; Over stock OEM to V1, the V1 makes a BIG difference. Mostly in terms of pull on the low end and of course that change in sound. The difference between V1 to V2 is subtle but it is there. There is more pull in the 4-5k range and the sound when it opens up with VTEC is more of a roar.

I'm just curious if you noticed the difference between the v1 and v2?

How was the fit with the P2R spacer and the V2? I have a spacer and am waiting to get the V2. Did you have to modify anything to get it to fit? Or are you not using the spacer now?

With the V2 I didn't have to cut the coupler. That's because it is a straight coupler and you can slide the intake tube to butt up against the throttle body.

With the V1 the coupler is shaped in a way to fit the components more perfectly. (it is tapered inside) but does not allow the necessary clearance for the TSB. Cutting it makes life much easier and does not change anything functionally if you do it right.
