From what I've seen the GS looks like shit. I know looks are subjective but I'd take an RL anyday. We'll see how the new GS drives compared to the RL.

It does. The swooping rear window gives the car a lot of visual mass over the rear wheels, looks bottom heavy in other words.

M35 will have 277HP and M45 will be 340HP. AWD available only on the V6 models.

I will bet the house the RL will out sell the M35/M45 combined. Just like the TL currently outsells the G35s by almost 2.5-1.

Not only that... I believe when C/D do their comparions...the RL will regin supreme.

The new GS will do well...if for no other reason...because its a Lexus. The new body can pass for a Maxima.

Good point. I wouldn't bet against it, I guess we'll see

Well, I saw a RL on the road tonight, and I must say, the first thing that struck me was that it was much smaller than I had imagined it would be. But generally, it looked very nice on the road.

I think they both have a sales goal of 20K/year - the only problem is that the model intro is about 6 months apart. By the time the M starts rolling with sales the RL will be ready for the next model year. I'm sure there'll be some months down the road when the M will otusell the RL but overall you might be right - it certainly won't be a 2.5-1 edge tho.

Another factor as to why the RL will and should outsell the M35/45 is that Acura has quite a few more dealerships than Infiniti last time I checked.

WHAAAT? When did this happen?! I NEVER expected Aurora, it's a Chicago suburb. Peoria would've been a better candidate.

I wonder is soopa has plans for an A-RL site? It seems like the new RL has enough fodder for its own site.

Magazine wins don't necessarily translate into sales success.
I wonder what cars the magazine will test the RL against? The V-6 models or the V-8 models? Maybe both? I agree. But IMO, the RL looks like an anycar in the Wal-Mart parking lot. The GS still looks different even if people thinks its Maximaish(Since that car looks different than most).

I saw an RL on Friday in Forest Falls of all places. For those of you who don't know what Forest Falls is, it's a small, small town in the mountains. Anyhow, I saw this sick 4-door and I couldn't make out what it was because the badges were all covered up with plastic film. A kept staring and finally said to myself, "RL!" I have no clue what it was doing up there? Maybe a photoshoot?

What does it really matter who outsells who, just glad there are going to be 3 non german, high quality cars to chose from now. Infiniti must have done something right with the new m-series for people to even be thinking about its sales numbers.

As far as G sales, rwd cars in general don't sell like fwd cars. The TL outsells the 330i also, I don't see the point.
