We haven't had any real new information on this car in almost five months. Where is everything? I'm dying to get some performance numbers. We don't even know when the car is going on sale!

Its funny that Porsche lets major mags drive pre-production models of the new 911 (997) in Africa but Acura is hush, hush on the new RL and won't even let you sit inside the TSX or TL when they made their AutoShow debut

There's something to be said for building suspense, Acura/Honda just does'nt know how to do it.

Another example. How much have you read/seen about the new Lexus RX400h? Plenty right? How about the new Accord Hybrid. Hardly anything has been mentioned.

I was disappointed when I saw the RL in person because they had closed the door and you couldn't even see the interior anymore. At least with the TL concept it didn't have an interior so you didn't feel so cheated.

Acura RL R/D kicks off in the West Coast in Newport Beach, CA Sept. 1st I will be there for the AM session. Main Competitors there will be the MB E320, Audi A6 and BMW 530i.

R/D= Acura Ride and Drive= A chance for the dealers to get a hands on with the RL and test its competitors. Its where the 'dumb' salepeople get 'enlightened'. And of course they will forget half of what was taught as soon as they leave for the day.

Since all the locations are public, you can swing by and try to get a glance of the car...just don't let the factory guys catch you.
