No offense, but I think the next gen Altima 3.5 might have 265-280hp and with more torque from the VQ engine, which could beat a TL in a drag race.

Also, not to be nitpicky, but why does the Altima get side blickers on the mirrors and the next gen G35 sedan doesn't?? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Because 1/4 mile times and drag racing are all that matter and should be what cars are judged by.

I like it, though I am not happy about moving away from the recessed three-pod gauge cluster design. The three vents don't help out either, but overall I like

whats with Nissan stealing Honda interior cues? Those gauges resemble the Accord's, as does the lower portion of the center console. Also, the new G35 gauges look like Acura gauges.

The Accord has that right under the H.

I like the '05 Altima exterior better.

I don't know why people are so caught up on the three circular vent thing.

Personally I don't hate or love it, as long as it's functional I could careless.

Saw it at the auto show. The headlights are more Nissan Z than Maxima, despite what the pictures might mislead you into thinking. The the amber in the taillights resemble stretched sugar candy. Overall it was a good looking sedan.

Maybe said people would rather see two circular vents.

I dont think it looks too bad. When im in my TL it just feels and looks my luxurious to me. Now the new Maximas are cool in the interior but still not my taste. And the car looks too big and heavy

The three vents are supposed to cover = left for driver, right for passenger and middle for back passengers (if people can fit in the back of an A4 cabrio of course).

The difference between that interior (as well as the Audi's) is that the circular vents are a design element that fits with the rest of the interior. Did you guys miss the normal vents to the left of the steering whel in the Altima's interior? It's no wonder everyone noticed them. Nissan should've made it consistent, either all circular, or all square.

I see what you're saying and in the rs4 they do fit cause they are part of the dash, but looking at the TT, think someone could complain if they really wanted to.

I'm not really a fan of the grill. All of the Nissan/Infiniti sedans all look alike now with that roofline and overall shape, Maxima, Altima, G35 sedan, and M all look alike.

I dunno if I would be mad or flattered if I was an M45 owner.

well i'm sure the M45 owners closely looked at their car before purchasing it...so if they're mad, then they only have themselves to blame

I guess Nissan miss that page in the Car Design for Dummies book. That said, they'll still sell A TON of 4G Altimas.

i saw it at the auto show on saturday. i didnt even notice it til someone pointed it out. i thought it was the same altima that was already available.

for me, up close, that rear taillamp is extremely ugly. its too stretched out and doesnt flow right with the car..

i really didnt see the point for this model update. there wasnt much that was changed and didnt impress at all.

This isn't a model update. It's a completely new gen car.

i also saw this at the car show...

if you think this looks the same in person, than you are not even slightly observant...

i was VERY impressed with it... you need to see the new one with the old one... then it will be like night and day...
