The fact that's it's RWD can make me overlook anything styling wise with the car...

I don't care for the taillights for instance, but I'm not about to complain about 'em...

The turbo4 will start at $19,900, the 6cyl around $25k, not to exceed $30k, even w/SE pkg.

Thats what I'm doing, selling my BMW 540i, buying a cheap $2500-$3500 car & saving all I can for a down payment, although I'm dying to get one w/the V/8 & am willing to wait if I have to.

I seen a review from journalist online that was at the autoshow and rated the interior above the G37, but rated the G37 better in performance (330HP etc), so I think I would want to it in person.

JediMindTricks is Melissa Theuriau ?? wow !!

Is it just me, or does the Gencoupe look a little like the G6 coupe ?? The Gencoupe looks more aggressive, but the roofline, rear window and taillights are similar

I work for Hyundai & you are correct, the Genesis will not replace the front wheel drive Tiburon.

i see the similarities too, but i think it's because the G6 looks like a lot of cars. or is it that a lot of cars look like the G6.

and the genesis also takes cues from other cars as well.

so i guess, naturally, the two will look similar. if that makes any sense.

so how is this design visually different from a Tiburon?

I wouldn't want to drive a better car only to be mistaken for a Tuburon.

thing is, there are going to be those people that "aren't in the know" and/or aren't car enthusiasts that will keep mistaking the car for a tiburon. at least for awhile.

i mean, my TSX gets mistaken for the civic.

I'm not bias, I'll talk to Acura drivers, hell I drive a BMW 540i Mspt pkg. I'm interested in hearing/seeing what every body has to say about the Genesis cars because I've worked for Hyundai for years & have been waiting til Hyundai would build something I would drive & here we are...

I think it shares enough Tibby styling DNA so that you can tell it's a Hyundai...

Yeah, that's the only bad thing about seeing the car now... we'll have to wait almost a year for the official pricing and package specifications to be released.

I think Nissan did almost the same thing with the 350Z and it was killing me ... Never did buy one though. Just wasn't what I thought it was going to be.

from unreliable source.. ie 'rumor'

The masters of auto spying have uncovered a document purporting to reveal the price of the Hyundai Genesis, the Korean firm's new rear wheel drive flagship. Loaded with the technology package and a 4.6L V8 it's going to run you $39,500 to $41,000 depending on other options. This price fits in nicely with their claim of 7-series size, 3-series price. Package details follow the jump.

Ok, so I don't know where to post this, but I figure this might be the appropriate place.

So, for all of you Hyundai auto enthusiasts in Southern California are in luck!

I'm a member of the English Ministry of a Korean American Church here in so cal, and our church is having a Hyundai test drive fundraiser at our church!

It turns out that one of our Korean Ministry elders is a higher up at Hyundai and he has contracted with Hyundai in order to have a test drive day performed at our Church grounds. For every person who test drives a Hyundai and fills out the survey after the test drive, our church will get $30.

Now I've been cleared by my pastor to invite any 20 people who want to come, and I am opening up these invites to Azine members! I ask that anyone who wants to come from Acurazine to please PM me if you're interested in coming, so that I can account for you guys being there.

Also, I'm a part of the English Ministry at CPC, and I ask that you write "EM" on the survey so that our English Ministry will get the $30 donation from Hyundai for your test drive. If you don't write EM, then we won't get anything for the test drive.

But I know you're asking, why did I post this here in the Genesis thread? Because, its been confirmed:

We are going to have 6 Hyundai Genesis sedans at the event, and we MIGHT get 1 or 2 prototype Hyundai Gensis Coupes for the test drive!!!

The test drive will be taking place in Cerritos, please PM me and tell me if you want to come so I can account for you guys there.

This is a fundraiser for the church I attend, so I do ask that you guys are on your best behavior when you guys come to the test drive. The date is still not confirmed, but it will be either the last weekend of April or the first weekend of May.

I wll be test driving the Genesis (hopefully the coupe as well if we can get some) and will post all pics and a personal test drive review on this thread. I'll also try to sneak my camera and video tape the test drive and post it here as well.

Mods, if this post is inappropriate or whatever, then please erase the post.

Nah. Just come out and take a test drive, fill out a survey and put EM on survey.

Plus, these Genesis sedans probably won't hit the streets until next year, so be the first to drive one.
