Ford: Focus News
I gotta say a new DI 2.0L w/ dual clutch tranny...

Come on Ford....you got a homerun here....now get a grandslam and bring the ecoboost stateside!!!!
honda should be worried. the current civic is weird, ugly even. judging from their latest designs i dont have high hopes for the next civic.
i'd be surprised if this new focus doesnt outsell the civic/corolla

"We'd like to," said Capito, "but the base car isn't homologated for North America and that's too costly a job to carry out just for a niche vehicle like the RS."
Ford doesn't want to take any steps that would head them into the negative on their balance sheet.
It is, however, unfortunate for those, like me, who really wished to drive the car.
looking forward to what they do with their trucks and SUVs now.
and if they can make a good minivan, they should see even more money go their way.
My brother is at the NAIAS in Detroit. He works extremely close with Ford, and has confirmed that it is the same platform as the European version. VP of Sales also confirmed they will be offering a candy red color, seen on a compact concept sedan in various other shows. The name of the car (and color) escapes me, but it's an awesome color for a production car. The color is a no-cost option.
Now what Im really interested in seeing is the new fusion that comes out in a couple years. I was just in the Regal thread and am extremely excited about the Regal GS concept (that will hopefully become a production model!)
So what will it be... next gen Fusion or Buick Regal GS? Maybe entry level ATS from Caddy? I'm still a few years off, but it's hella exciting to have so much product (especially domestic) to be able to choose from.
