Consumer Reports: Annual Results News
Pretty impressive. Although likely at a different price point, Infiniti better think through that LE Concept very meticulously.
If this is the best car they ever tested, then CR has sunk even lower....and who thought they could actually fall any lower.
Credibility and CR do not walk hand in hand....those days were gone long, long ago.

Like everyone else, I highly doubt the Model S is the best car CR has ever tested, though I think they look really, really good. One flew by me on the highway the other day - and shit does that car move!! I'm interested to see how they hold up after a couple years tho, and that the company doesnt end up like Fisker.
I want a Model S so bad.
As they say in medicine, "nothing is absolute" and neither is this review. I say this being a Consumer Reports subscriber and being one of those who contributes reliability info every year for the Car issue.
I will say, though, I saw my first Tesla Model S yesterday. I flagged the owner down, which I almost never do. He was gracious and told me how awesome he thought the car was.
It had passed me in a garage, soundlessly. It was red. It was f-ing gorgeous. The owner had ordered it online and had it delivered, because the nearest dealer is in Chicago. Service will be a *itch because the nearest service center to Cleveland is 120 miles away, in Columbus. Despite these practical hurdles, he loved his car. And I will admit, it was way cool.

Red on this car looks amazing and it goes like

yup, you can tick the option box that puts 2 seats in the trunk. Its for children, not adults
I would rather wait until they are a little more common before owning one. Plus that price tag is steep. Still a beautiful car. I'm curious to see two crash dummies survive a rear end collision in those rear facing seats.
I dont think Ive seen model with the rear seats yet, but I believe Elon Musk has that one for his kids.
I'd definitely be interested in owning one...well the year delayed Model X would be have my interest...those falcon wing doors for ease of kids...brilliant.
Not so fast....says Oremus

The only other car receiving 99/100 points was the 2007 Lexus LS460L.

the is250 just needs to go away. Too weak, lackluster mpg, and they got rid of the 6MT in it. I agree with their assessment of the 250. Considering the base price for a 250 is $35k, and a new FWD TL is $36k.
The 350 on the other hand is quite good.
250 needs to share the same fate of the short lived Infiniti G25.

nvm the 250 is pretty much the same as the base TL in terms of cost give or take a few hundred. for 3k more than the 250 you can get a TL SH-AWD.
who would still buy the new 250 is beyond me. *Thumb down*

Toyota and Nissan have a quality lineup. For a while the styling was behind the curve, but it seems Honda is the one playing catch-up now after several poor choices.
Plus they make V8 RWD cars, which Honda doesn't.
On a side note, sorry to hear about your hubby and mom

Take that with a grain of salt.
The 3G TL has reached its age where it is now incredibly affordable as an entry level luxury sedan. Many would probably love to own an 350 or the Q50, but do not have upwards of 50K to spend.
Just a thought.

3G TL makes a lot of sense to a lot of people in the year 2013 (as well it should) given its price point.
That said, I have to chime in that if I had 50k to blow on a car, it certainly wouldn't be a shiny new is350 or Q50
The IS250 rating will do little to affect Lexus sales. The Q50 will find its stride in a year or so. Though I've yet to drive one, it seems to have potential. As far as it being not as sporty as it's predecessor, same is being said of the current 3 series.
I remember back in the day when most vehicles were RWD and more powerful engines. The 70's fuel shortage hit with long lines to gas stations. Cars with more fuel efficient engines were then becoming popular. More people wanted FWD vehicles. We have owned RWD, FWD 4WD, and AWD. The RWD Volvo was excellent in snow.

Did they test it on a track in OZ?
