I think they made it look too much like usdm accord, I liked the originality of the old tsx. In addition I think Honda just used the 7th gen accord sedan and put a body kit on, the platform was ready for a v6 and 2.4.

Have you ever had snow tires on your TSX, or driven AWD? AWD doesn't do anything for breaking and cornering, which is their most important function. AWD is no substitute for snow tires. Unless you live outside town and routinely drive on unplowed roads, it's a luxury. Snow tires are not, in fact they're required by law in places that really get a 4 season climate.

3.5L 280 in the TSX? Not bad, but they should offer a SH-AWD version. I guess they want to leave that with the TL and RL for now, otherwise the entire line-up will be AWD. Should have identical performance figures to a 3G Type-S?

If you meant the European Accord, then I agree with you.

I'm driving the new TSX now (as a loaner while my tranny is checked out) and I really like it's handling a lot, although the electronic steering assist does take away from the feel slightly. Styling wise it's very nice and has grown on me since it's inception. I think one of these with the 3.5 making 280hp would be a very awesome 3rd gen TL-esque ride. I'd get one.

Sneak Peek @ the Next Generation
The Honda Accord Euro (Acura TSX) is one of the most stylish and well rounded vehicles in the lower premium midsize sedan market. Its combination of chiselled good looks, refined and fuel-efficient powertrains, high-quality finish and craftsmanship, and extensive standard features list makes it a winner in the eyes of most new car buyers.
The latest version of the car was only introduced late last year but we already have a number of details including a preview sketch of the next model due in 2011. This will be the eighth generation of the popular nameplate, and if this sketch is anything to go by it will be the most aggressive and sportiest version yet.
According to Auto Motor und Sport, where this image was sourced, the new Accord Euro will adopt more coupe-like styling, with short overhangs front and rear, and a very high waistline. The front-end will retain the broad look of the current model but will be positioned closer to the ground for a more aggressive look.
The current 2.4L four-cylinder petrol engine should carry over as well as the six-speed manual and automatic transmissions. New, however, could be a range topping ‘Type-S’ model with a 2.3L turbocharged petrol engine with 260hp (194kW) mated to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission and Super Handling AWD powertrain. Let’s hope that the U.S.-spec Acura TSX will also get this exciting performance option.

New for 2009 and already coming out with complete redesign for 2011?
Short front overhang in a FWD?
Doesn't sound right...

I think this is just as bad a rumor (as far as timing) as the one about the TSX production line being shut down for 6+ months. And the guessing about the RDX drivetrain is now getting real old.

This is pretty ugly. well, doesn't matter, it's not real anyway.
the center line on the hood ruins any good design. the pentagon grille on Acura needs a new design direction. it's limiting the design direction and getting walked over by Mazda.
